How long is a concussion usually? Tando's must fucked

Best to not play for 4 weeks if you want to look after your brain. If you think that it's a non-essential organ (i.e. AFL or NRL player) then man up you sissy and get back on the pitch right away.

It's in Tando's best interests not to play until unequivocally cleared by specialist advice.

And in fairness, comparing him to an AFL player, in terms of recovery time (which is what I did instinctively) is problematic, as Tando's injury was sustained in a mid-week game (which means he's been out for just over a week as of today, rather than a week and a half). There may have been other issues due to him doing it in Perth, with the flight back making it a trickier recovery process.

Beyond the obvious potential for long-term effects, I think it would be wise to err on the side of caution when a goalie sustains that sort of injury during a game. You'd have to be 100% sure that he isn't just physically recovered, but that he'll be ready to commit totally to the next high ball that comes his way.

Will we see Clisby or Gooch at LB? Perhaps Gooch at LW?

Would like to see Garuccio play LW at some point. But he played pretty well last game and had good defensive stats: Tackles 6 (most in the team), Interceptions 10 (most in the team. Also more than the rest of the defence combined), Clearances 4 (2nd equal most).

Garuccio also does help the team in possession, and in particular he's good at carrying the ball up the pitch. He actually took the 2nd most touches in the last game (only behind Mooy), although his passes completed and passing accuracy stats could be a little better.

He still makes the odd rash decision, but for a player who has come back from a several month long injury Garuccio showed some good stuff in the last game, and will likely get better with more game time.

BTW I don't think Clisby is as bad an option at LB as he's sometimes talked up to be, but understandably IMO I reckon JVS will start Garuccio tomorrow.

We should win... however from the Starting 11 Vs CCM on the weekend there were 7 really young players

Retre, Chapman, Garuccio
Mauk, Melling, Kuzi, Zinni.

Thats 7 out of 11 players...
Id love to see Corey start on the wing in place of Zinni... just to add a bit more of experience in what will be a very physical and defensive outfit that Newcastle throw at us.

I'm backing:

Great Dane

Retre Chapman Kisnorbo Garuccio

Mauk Melling Mooy

Willo Bruno Kuzi

Would prefer him to start over Willo but don't think Gamiero would be quite ready to start yet. Will come on and score.

Looks good but I'm sure JVS said the big Willy and Gamjam are not ready to play a full 90? In his defence Willy is fat as fuk

tonight's gonna be my first time back in active since last season, can anybody give me a quick fill-in on new terrace chants?

Aaron mooy is magic, he wears a magic hat. He could've gone to Europe but he said the fuck with that. He passes with his left foot, he passes with his right. AND WHEN WE WIN THE FUCKING LEAGUE WE'LL SING THIS SONG ALL NIGHT OOOOHHHHHHH (repeat)

and:

he scores when he wants, he scores when he waaaaaaants, Bruno Fornaroli, he scores when he wants (repeat)
