So blessed to have had this experience and to learn on and off the park the importance of football and business. I came to this country with an open mind and I can honestly say I gave everything to these two football clubs and tryed my hardest to contribute to this league. Cahill will get to play in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, and Melbourne City will be the club that helps him get there. Also, the deal won't be another 1-year sugar-hit (like the Kewell, Grella, Aloisi, Skoko deals pretty much were), and over 2 seasons Cahill can leave a bigger lasting legacy at Melbourne City. And with Cahill playing to make the World Cup squad, and playing to maintain his image/brand, I'm confident we can get 2 solid seasons out of Cahill (especially with the club having 2 other marquees, and one of them being Fornaroli so we won't even rely on Cahill for goals). Hope not, I am reading this transaction as finally the FFA/A-league waking up and not looking at this thing as a vacuum but part of a larger world football landscape, but also world sporting landscape. What is wrong with a 2 year guest?
