Sunday April 28th vs Nomad FC. 5:00pm KO

Recommended Posts

They tired themselves out in the first half, so we are now controlling the game. It nearly paid out for them though, we looked pretty ordinary in the first.

The plan is they will only score on the counter so we won’t attack.
fucking risky.

We want to attack just don’t have quality on the park anymore.

Lopane isn’t ready for A-League.

Horrible subs, we're asking for trouble with how we are playing.

Repeat from last week.

Parking the bus for the 1 goal lead?

To concede late and be knocked out, which we did in the final game of the UCL when it mattered most.

That Grimaldi fella for them looked pretty good.

City academy player.

Jeggo has to be the worst defensive midfielder I've ever seen. Has he ever won a tackle?

No tackle interception to our advantage tonight (again), doesn’t put the extra steps in to make himself available when we play out the back either. Not a player who carries a team, the passenger cruising style isn’t something we can build on.

So someone rated Lopane ahead of Grimaldi???? Throw them out of the club - out of the A-League.

Shame isn’t it, whole season no development progress. Nothing to be excited about.

Then people say we don't have any up coming talent, maybe we do, we just don't give them a chance and they end up playing well for another team.

Awful performance from pretty much every City player. Young, the ref. and the Video Assisted Ref. saved us tonight.

One of the worst football matches I've seen in a long, long time.

BTW the attendance was boosted by free tickets given by the club to students from Federation University for the first and last matches of the season.

Despite our best efforts to lose this game, we somehow managed to win it, saved by WU's shittiness, the refs, and an unlikely JMac goal

Positives:

We won, and won, and whilst playing badly.

It's an important game; we had to win it; we'd usually choke and lose it.

APL only has a week to invent a reason to shift the game to Sydney.

Negatives:

Arslan straight down the tunnel, is he injured? If so, we are done.

If he's not injured, we should do better next week against a visit0rs team that will have to attack: they can do that well but can't defend. It'll depend on which City turns up.

The elimination final will be our last game in Melbourne, even if we win next week

'Hmmmm, if 60% of the victory and city fanbase have sport commitments on a Sunday, let's make the game at 3pm so then 5k people can go, that's an awesome idea!😄👍'

Throw in Orthodox Easter Sunday..

SF has two legs so we will have 1 leg in Melbourne still.

That reminds me of Matt Simon, who, I think, received a yellow card for running from the field with diarrhoea without having time to ask the ref for permission to leave the field. It was almost a brown card!

Gary Lineker famously soiled himself during an England international...and the match was being televised...https://www.google.com/search?q=footballer+poos+on+pitch&rlz=1C1CHBF_en-GBAU881AU881&oq=footballer+ppos&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqCQgBEAAYDRiABDIGCAAQRRg5MgkIARAAGA0YgAQyCAgCEAAYDRgeMg0IAxAAGIYDGIAEGIoFMg0IBBAAGIYDGIAEGIoFMg0IBRAAGIYDGIAEGIoFMg0IBhAAGIYDGIAEGIoFMgoIBxAAGIAEGKIE0gEKMTIzODFqMGoxNagCCLACAQ&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:b35ffe43,vid:qvBf4FLL678,st:0

We won and have somehow scraped through. Hopefully the club still very much see this as a fail that we had to get 9 points from 9 to get there.

Best victory next week and the season becomes a little more palatable.

Active and Away Bays. Having been to the corner before Bay 11 is just an away bay not active. 14,13,12 is active. 11 and 80 away bays

I remember one Tour de France telecast, Jan Ullrich, following Lance Dopestrong on a climb with a look of great discomfort on his face. His team car pulled alongside; there was a brief conversation, then the director Sportive held out a bucket; Jan was pulling down his Knicks and manoeuvring his bum over the bucket when the TV director worked out what was about to happen and quickly switched to another camera.
