Also Politidis, Durakovic, Nieuwenhulzen and Shillington. And big wraps on Necovski the under 17s Joey's captain who's just signed

Absolutely on board with both @MHFC-FAN and @Le Hack here. I'm excited about the opportunities tighter budgets give to our best youngsters. I want to see the kids play and thrive. Necovski sounds like a gun and I've managed to see Sulemani play for less than 20 minutes so far in an NPL game at Ballarat. But he's also had great props. Caputo we've seen and I rate him, and Mazzeo looks up to it.

Mehmet's son, ex soccer oops, he's playing in the NPL 2 team. Midfielder played last game but subbed off at 45

He's on a Scholarship.

Strongly agree. But they won't get the minutes if we keep the under-performers.

Politidis got some decent game time this season, however what happened to Durakovic? Was he injured? What position does Shillington play?

We've lost a whole generation of young players who couldn't get into the senior team and whose careers stalled. In a way that's an inevitable consequence of success, but team selection should always balance present needs with future success.

Yeah true, some of the ones we've lost haven't kicked on to much. Others have been good first 11 or garnered interest from Overseas ie: Rodrigues.

I think this next season will likely see a lot more youngsters getting decent game time and even breaking into the best 11...

Emin Durakovic has played 4 games out of 12 for NPL2 sude this year for two goals. Left foot midfielder. I'd say he was injured. Shillington is a right back. Played 9 of 12 games this season 1 goal, 5 yellow cards! He has been picked a couple of times for soccer's u21s. He's 19.

I think when you're looking into the one's we lost: Gauci, Rodriguez, Bernardo, these guys were all Adelaide boys we got by offering higher $s than anyone else. Hence they were already mercenaries when we got them and always likely to leave. I'm more cut up about guys like Cola really

Gee forgot about Gauci and Bernardo. They would have been very handy! Yeah it sucks with the Cola situation and not giving Rodrigues enough game time giving him no option but to leave...there's definitely been some real talent let go of too soon unfortunately.

Young talent management is always an issue for successful teams. We just don't have a long enough season, or enough other Cups or competitions running at the same time as the A League se4ason to give them all enough game time. This is structural issue that will hopefully be improved with a second division

I completely agree. When you have few competitions and many players it is difficult to see them all. It is also normal that they then decide to go elsewhere. This also leads to a lot of confusion and little clarity on the  แทงบอลออนไลน์

The long off season has started. General question, for the players whose contract has expired and assuming that they don't get renewed, what other players from other clubs should City attempt to poach?

Question is, who will be available? Anyone got the free agent list?

Transfermarkt list of contract expiring Aussies goes for about five pages. So it's more about what we will need to fix up holes in our list.

I think we should get a back up CF to Caputo in case he doesn't fire. Giannou, Blackwood, Petratos, or Cumming would be available if Maclaren going to Mohun. I think they'd all be reasonable capable or you run Lecks as the back up.

A FB would be good. Smith, Davidson are available from os. Millar from Macarthur wouldn't be a bad bargain pick up.

A CB or two would be good. Talk is we have signed Trewin. Delbridge again? Chapman?  Ansell also available but he's spud like.

Mids you have Nisbet, Brimmer, Caceres, Brattan, Piscopo, Ryan Williams, De Silva available. Nothing to really be excited about as you'd think most would re-sign.

Wingers. Halloran is apparently on the outer at Adelaide. Ikonomidis, Mileusnic isn't terrible.

Really depends who we keep and looks like we might be keeping a fair amount of our players for some stability this coming season

Think going into next season with the expectation of Caputo being first 11 is crazy. He would be best as the first choice striker off the bench until he properly proves himself...

Nisbet is arguably the best Australian midfielder in the A-League currently and would be a huge get!

Trewin would be a solid replacement for Good with bright future!

Mileusnic from Brisbane? He's a good player and would be happy to have!

Will be an interesting off season that is for sure!

Why would you want to think about Caceres or Brattan - 31 and 35? Signing that age of player - like Jeggo - just leads nowhere.

Would take Nisbet and Trewin, wouldn't dismiss taking Matt Millar if available. Depending what Aziz is doing, id take Brad Smith if he was interested in returning home . Delbridge maybe, but that could be cause I liked him when he was here

The rest is a solid no, either too old or doesn't particularly help us.

That's why I said nothing to get excited about. It's not a list of who I'd want it's a list of availabilities. There's not much available at all really from Aussies available which you'd think is going to make us better side. I think it's getting younger Visas which will help us the most.

I liked Delbridge too. Unfortunately he's now 32, but one thing about him for sure is that he gives 100% for the team. He might be OK alongside Souprayen except that would mean another two lefties at CB.

I would try and poach Cola to replace Jakolis. Otherwise, if a local is over 26 then I am not terribly thrilled. Piscopo showed promise but has had a lot of injuries. Da Silva never seems to have made a step up. A defensive mid-fielder to replace Jeggo would also be useful.

Unfortunately Jeggo is contracted until the end of next season. Why we did that heaven knows. A huge disappointment. IMO Petrillo showing lack of judgement there.

Could be unpopular but I wouldn't have given Nabbout 2 years, he has shown over past 3 seasons he can't stay on the pitch for any period of time. 1 year would have been appropriate with the option of a 2nd if he hits certain criteria

I'm guessing (hoping) that he has taken a substantial pay cut. If not front loaded.

Confirmed that both Nabbout and Leckie have signed up for the next two years. Hopefully we can keep them fit. Both are evidently key players in the dressing room and hopefully on the pitch.

I'm disappointed by this news. Both have demonstrated that they can barely stay on the pitch, and the records clearly show that. One year would be the most I would have given them.

I'd be happy with them.

Henry Hore and Armiento from Brissy could be alright, Pasquali maybe, he looked awesome a few years ago, I don't remember him this season though tbh.

Just noticed Aiden Simmons, he would be quality at only 20 yr old, he has a bright future.

I wonder if the long term plan with both Lecks and Nabbout is to groom them as coaches. I've never actually thought about both of them as coaches but when you think about it, they actually might fit the mould.

I can see Nabbout, but Leckie I feel would just enjoy having a pint down at the pub.

I still find the entire Jakolis finding out he was Australian and convincing the biggest scout organisation in the world that he was going to play for the Socceroos at the Asian cup and he deserves a spot at their Australian club as one of the most brilliant piece of player management business I've seen
