jw1739
A short farewell to the fans from Tando on the club's Twitter page. Very well worth watching and listening to. drewmelbcity
Who cares, if Sorenson happened to get a long term injury and had to rely on velaphi to carry us to a title we would be fucked. Imo our back four is the big issue and what this transfer window should be focused on.

Murfy1
Best/most loyal servant of the club? Tando is easily one of the most committed and professional players to wear the club jersey. Up there with Behich, and will be as fondly remembered as Engelaar in my book. If this club can continue to sign up players as committed and as loyal as Tando then this club's on the right track. NewConvert
If as has been suggested in this forum, Tando has joined Yohohama F Marinos he would remain part of the CFG. Unfortunately I have not seen any confirmation of the move and transfermarkt has him listed as unattached. Certainly a loyal servant of the club. Jimmy
44 minutes ago, jw1739 said: Succinct definition please. Well the term is pretty self-explanatory. What's more debatable is the criteria to be one. For me, for someone to be a club legend they have to have: Given a club their best years, been there for at least six seasons, had a notable contribution to the team and club, shown a clear love for the team and preferably been a big part in winning things with the club. Players that were only there for a year or two but are extremely popular with the fans are cult heroes for me. Tando, Sibon, Engelaar etc. Club Legend should be reserved for that next level. People like Thompson, Muscat, Hutchinson and maybe Broich. Edited January 8, 2016 by Jimmy
belaguttman
A legend is a story with meaning. A player has to have been involved enough to have a story and for that story to mean something for the League or the team
jw1739
I would have nominated Jonatan Germano for his Santa Hat goal celebration, which IMO is the best such celebration I have ever seen. Irrespective of him not meeting the criteria set by Jimmy above.
haz
I believe any club legend has to contribute to more then 6 years at the club, and as people have mentioned they have to be part of something, not just sitting on the bench for 6 six years. That's I think since the A League is still young there isn't any stand out club legends, the closest ones would have to be Hutchinson and A.Thompson
Embee
To be honest I don't think you can actually have a criteria for a club legend (although I agree Tando falls in the cult hero category). If Trifiro scored a hattrick in a winning Grand Final for us I'm pretty sure that contribution would deserve club legend status.

The club's website is indicating that the contract is pending a medical which we can safely assume that he will pass. It does not mention contract length. Also found out that Tando has the middle name of Yuji. Club's stadium holds 15100. Hiratsuka is a sleepy, green area of Kanagawa prefecture. Maybe a little quiet but at least he won't be living in the concrete jungle of Yokohama.
possiblygeorge
Where can i buy a Shonan Bellmare FC shirt from? We should all get the lads Name/Number on the back and wear it at the next home match in the terrace as we chant "oh, Tando Velaphi" whilst we release green balloons (and maybe some Dove's, i dunno, depends)

Outside of the railway station precinct there aren't many tall buildings, no apartment blocks, stand alone town houses with their own car parking space, there is street vegetation. Definite indication of a small country town/village. Mind you once I worked with a bloke who came from a boring small village of 100,000 people, so its all relative.
