Wel as i said on the 1st of this month, we are now no longer members as we have officialy resigned our memberships as of today. We are both tired of watching crap football and having to pay for the privilege of watching so called football which my wife describes as more boring than watching paint dry, this is quite apart from the crap we are getting from Joyce's selections and the excuses we get about players being dropped. We wish everyone on here a very merry Christmas and a safe and  Happy new year.

Thanks Tony i must say i will miss it for a while but other thing will take over and that plonker Joyce needs to be gone. His ideas and tactics are not my cuppa and neither is isolating players just because they don't suite his playing style or their face do's not fit, total wanker and that's coming from a former pom.

If you resign your membership because you no longer wish to go to matches or for a physical reason such as permanently moving away etc., then that seems OK to me. But to do it as some form of protest IMO is rather like cutting off your nose to spite your face - neither the club nor CFG will care at all. Only one thing will unnerve our owners, and that will be consistent and loud adverse comment in the media. And in Australia I think that to be unlikely, simply because the media barely cares about football in the first place.

Stick with your team through thick and thin!

I've put up with this shit club for 7 years, but at least it's my shit club. Managers and players will come and go but I won't stop supporting this club until it ceases to exist.

What I said is a bit ironic since I'm not a member right now haha. But if the club has an overseas deal like they had in the past I would have splashed the cash

How efficient are they at Bundoora, rang them on Monday to cancel our memberships, the guy who took the call was very polite and stated that i would be getting an email from them. it's now Thursday and i have heard nothing. So i rang them again today to find out what the hold up was, got another nice guy who said he will fix it.  So here we are at 8pm and guess what- no email and they wonder why the club is going to pot, total crap.

They did social media posts

IMO an e-mail to all members wouldn't have hurt them too much. I have much the same view about a precis of Pearce's speech.

Pearce may be PR specialist - but the club has no fucking idea of how to engage its members.

Getting an email advertising a discounted membership special to existing current members makes no sense. In fact it's the sort of thing that actually irritates me.

If your talking about the recent article quouting Pearce mentioned in another thread I agree totally.

Just a wrap up on the calendar year and a few snippets of things to come would go along way.

Maybe we should stop considering ourselves members and being part of the club. Melbourne City is part of a commercial corporation, it’s management only speaks to influencers (FFA) and to entities with commecial interest. We are merely paying customers.

But have they emailed/approached all the old members on their database? I receive emails from Victory sometimes, merely because I’ve attended the derby at Etihad.

Except that it's an opportunity to perhaps encourage someone else to join? One of our party was ill, so we took a mate of mine to the Derby and he was interested in joining up for a few matches over the January/February period. I found out quite by chance. As it is it's only GA membership, but it's easy to sneak into anywhere when the crowd is on'y 6,000-8,000.

Well you can't fault the guy he is just doing his job. Hopefully he passes on the feedback from your call.

Yeah it's a tough one. Should be Joyce or Munn copping the spray and having to answer us on the spot.

At least someone at the club is trying to improve memberships/crowds though. Been dire this year.

I don't believe that these people are living in the real world. Asking people to renew a membership after all that has happened?

If it's true that the Fornaroli Stand-Off is irreconcilable, then all of us should be given a full refund of our memberships and free admission to the remaining matches this season. We have been misled, if not for the whole season, ever since the Phoenix match. Because it's clear that the main objective is not to win silverware, but to make some kind of internal political statement about who's boss. Therefore we have not received what we paid for.

Bratts' comments yesterday, and those a couple of weeks ago from Jamo, our captain, show that the playing group is not united behind Joyce. The guy is an arsehole, and so are Petrillo and Munn, and everyother dead-shit involved in the management of City.

Results have kept things quiet but there's still something wrong with management at the club. When you look at the position we're in right now it's a collective of reasons that stem back to the original decision makers that brought Joyce in in the first place.

How is spastic Munn still our CEO is beyond me. Does he still exist apart from picking up his pay check?? What's the best email I can't send to this idiot?

But as I mentioned before, you can't fault the people who call - they are only doing their jobs. I bet they feel the same way and probably are not even paid members themselves. I'll keep going to games as I have been since day 1 but I am already looking forward to the end of the season and HOPING next season will bring something new........ which I have been saying for 9 seasons now.

I can see why they brought him in. Tough, used to dealing with bigger named players, uncompromising. I think there's little doubt that he was brought in to change the culture of the club. However in their quest for cultural change it seems they have overlooked the football that would be delivered by Joyce. This is an ultimate fail. And they also didn't  foresee the relationships that he would eventually burn within the squad to achieve his ideal squad environment. Those relationships have left us without a number of big named players. It probably didn't even enter their minds.

Munn, Pearce and anyone else who's involved need to put their hand up and take responsibility for two major decisions that have shaped our current predicament. One, the hiring of JVS. And two, the hiring of Joyce. Both of which haven't brought us success.

Probably would've been Ryan from the membership team. He seems like a nice guy and knows his shit everytime I've spoken to him on the phone. He'd be given some sort of script to say. Minimal chance that the feedback was passed on.
