The bold indicates teams played that are currently in top 6 (except for when we play each other). Nothing in it really except we play our last two games away from home.

That game against us could be a very big game provided we're still neck and neck by then. They have a fairly tough run coming up.

Simple fact. Kingofhearts owes Cadete $50.

Velaphi

Safuwan Chapman Kisnorbo Clisby

Paartalu

Melling Mooy

Williams Kennedy Koren

Bench: Redmayne Hoffman Murdocca Germano Ramsay

Ideally we would like to play Koren in midfield but you can't drop Melling Mooy or Paartalu, and we know JVS is going to stick with a 4-3-3. Then when dugandzic comes back to replace Ramsay, we are pretty much at full strength excluding long term injuries (duff and garuccio)

So from that out list looks like we can still sign 2 injury replacements for gooch and duff.

Starting 11

velaphi

safuwan Chapman Kisnorbo Clisby

Partaluu

Melling Mooy Williams

Koren

Kennedy

In effect we have three players out for the rest of this season - Duff, Garuccio and Wielaert.

Jaliens is an OK injury replacement for Wielaert. For the others I wonder whether are a couple of players out there we could sign with a view to keeping them for next season as well if they go OK? Around 28 y-o??

I think they will get 13 points: Wins against WSW H & A, CCM H, JETS H a draw away to Sydney

We will get 14 points: Wins against AU H, Roar H, Nix H, Jets H,  draws against Sydney and WSW

In the play offs by a point :)

Jaliens will be on the bench instead of Ramsay

Hopefully JVS isn't dumb enough to change our defence when we have just kept a clean sheet

Would have also like the option of another striker on the bench, but i guess this is the best side we can field at the moment

Also, after this game let's get in injury replacements for Garuccio and Duff. A wide player and striker would be my preference.

Us signing a good quality injury replacement on the wings will make or break our season, get one or two forward players who can make an impact and we will be in business. Jaliens is essentially like for like with Wielaert so that's ok I guess. First half of the season it's been our front thirds inability to score that's cost us. With two new wingers and a new striker in Kennedy being a clear improvement it could come together as a very different team in the run in to the finals.

.... Or we could continue to make do with what we have and hope Kennedy single handedly drags us into the finals.

.... Also in before our previously ineffective crosses start becoming effective with Kennedy on the end of it and everyone starts claiming we are playing long ball despite not changing the playing style at all.

Our crosses aren't ineffective because we lack a tall striker, they are ineffective because they fail to beat the first man. We no longer need to (try to) send in pinpoint bullet crosses, just stick it in the area and let JK do his thing!!! Why have we not realised this?

has anyone heard of any rumours of any atacking injury replacements or is it more likely we will just continue with what we have ? hopefully someone can come in but if its an overseas player will take time to adjust which we dont have if we expect to sneak in the 6

van 't Schip says we are looking for a replacement for Duff, but doesn't sound too hopeful as reported here:

JVS is right when he said most of the potential replacements out there now are either not fit enough or the quality is not all that good. City are looking for a replacement but will not dive into anything just for the sake of having a replacement. Makes sense to me. But lets hope there is at least one decent player out there for a replacement.

Ramsay and Germano starting for the youth team today. Hopefully that means Ramsay won't be in the squad at all! Marino on the bench so hopefully, when he's 100% we can see him back in the first team.

Guess this means Murdocca will play a role in midfield off the bench instead of Germano. Murdocca is like an electrical safety switch, whenever things look like sparking up he shuts down the whole operation.

Seems like a good guy but I can't stand watching him play

If Germano is fit (I know, I know!) I'd play him over Retre any day
