R410
Do you guys think they will just give it to Wielaert or do you think a marquee might come in and take the arm band? or maybe even someone else?

perthheart
Wielaert for me. Organising centre backs make the best captains IMO.

Tesla
Duff What I was thinking. Though I don't think he has a lot of captaincy experience? There might be a reason why he doesn't.
NewConvert
Kisnorbo. Tough, critical and has presence.
Ruckoo
He also might not want it. Wielart was pretty much captain all last year even when Harry was there.

Melburnian
Paddy Kisnorbo. He's a leader. You'd walk taller knowing he was leading you out for battle.
perthheart
I'd leave Kisnorbo to do what he does best. Kicking kent's into the ground. Those style of players don't generally lend themselves to being captains IMO as they lack the composure you look to your captain for particularly if the team is under the pump. Duff would be my second choice however wingers tend to spend large chunks of time on the fringes of games hence my vote going to Wielaert. K-aram92
Wielaert to captain next season and train tando to take over the reigns the following season. lol
Tonyboozeadams
Weilart was a decent captain, but surely this is his last season with us. Give it to a young guy who will stick about. Mooy?
xXJawsaXx
Wielaert for Captain and Paddy K for Vice Captain.
Tommykins
Duff What I was thinking. Though I don't think he has a lot of captaincy experience? There might be a reason why he doesn't. After listening to his interview, he doesn't seem like the onfield leader type.

kingofhearts
Can't believe Ian Ramsay hasn't been mentioned. Blokes a gun and probably our best player and nobody thinks he's good enough to be captain? pffft
jw1739
Have we named everyone in the squad yet? The fact is we have no stand-out leader on the field, which is another reason we throw away matches when we're in front with a few minutes to go. The fact is we have no stand-out leader on the field, which is another reason we throw away matches when we're in front with a few minutes to go. In fairness, Weilart, Kisnorbo have been leaders at a better level than A League and we still have more players to come in. I think we do need more leaders though. Duff and Koren enhance this I feel.
