298 memberships needed in approx 5 days to crack 6000 = pretty much 60 a day. Would be awesome if we got that and reckon it is possible! Hate to sign like a broken record but what if we WIN! Definitely not just pride and 3 points on the line Saturday night.

6000 before the derby would be incredible

Best case scenario:

a big derby win where harry gets on the scoreboard with a MOM performance would give us another boost before our first home game against CCM.

That will be another big crowd, especially with the VPL grand final beforehand, and another win is needed.

Then 2 away games where mifsud fires, some good results and a high position on the ladder would put us in a perfect position to play WSW and Sydney at home.

Potentially we could see a massive boost in membership numbers and some very healthy home crowds within the first 6 weeks of the season providing our big names fire and we play some quality football. Fingers crossed we take our opportunities this time around!

Looking to probably purchase a membership sometime over the coming weeks. I noticed that the GA and Active area memberships are the same price. Does the Active membership give access to all areas of GA too? I'm assuming it does based on AFL membership experience.

Hopefully I get down to some games this season, or the Imp at the very least for away games. Only got a few mates who are half-arsed Heart supporters (like me), so I'll see if I can get them to get along to some matches as well. If not, hopefully I get to eventually know some of the chojeks here.

Yes.

Yes it does, but as an active member that shouldn't concern you.

Thats a reasonable question. The missus whole family have blinkers on to the aleague, the only sport that exists is AFL.

Last year I came along with a mate to the last 5 home games and this year I bought my active membership and got my sons too.

For me to try and bring them along I cannot stand in active so for peple that want to support the heart and bring a few peple along for the atmosphere and try and get them to become a member for next year this important.

Marteaux this is just an example of why it does matter to an active supporter.

Got my new membership card in the mail a couple days ago. The letter said to destroy the "older" card with the printing mistake. My fear is people will now be using the two cards they have?? As there is the scanning process involved it could cause issues.

The old cards were missing details. Nothing to worry about with the scanning process as the membership is like the ticket. once the barcode has been scanned, that barcode cannot be used again to get into the ground

That's good to know then. To be honest, I didn't even notice my membership card had that mistake.

Solid improvement this year in advertising by the club trying to get people on board

I saw a poster in the glass at a tram stop in Coburg with D. Williams. This was promoting free-to-air games on a Friday. Saw a commercial on Channel 9 duting prime time. Nice to see FFA promoting the game as well.

Woot.. 100 increase in exactly past 24 hrs..

and 79 the previous 24hrs..

.... 64 for the 24hrs before that.

That's a jump of 179 members in 48hrs (or 243 over 72hrs) .. Solid effort in the business end of memberships..

Is it a co-incidence that this was after the 'bad' news report?.. I think not.. Any publicity is good right? :P

I will reserve my prediction until 9:30pm 8th of November; which is straight after our second Home game against WSW.

If we put up the same dismal away performances against Perth (Rd 3) and Brisbane (Rd 4) that we dished out last year then we'll struggle to get to 7,500k!

If we lose to Victory, CCM and WSW (all top 4 last season) in Melbourne then we'll struggle to get over 7k!

Coming to think of it, our first 5 rounds are all against top 6 2012/13 finalists - this is a hard way to start a season and a MASSIVE TEST for Heart and Aloisi to see IF or how much we've improved this season!

Herald sun is one of the biggest anti-football newspapers out there, I wouldn't believe anything they say.

They have had great coverage of the a-league this week. Way better than the Age. You'll probably find the news pages and editorials are anti-football but you couldn't call Davutovic that

I've said it before but I really rate Davutovic as a journo, does nothing but hype up the A-League in Melbourne and always writes up great articles about us.

5790. 210 required in about 60 hours. I expect us to get there. The club has said on numerous times in recent days that they are targeting 6000 before round 1. Therefore, I'm sure every membership will be processed and counted for. Maybe even a little duplication in the figures (if required) lol.

Brisbane's target of 10K is ambitious. That figure is a week old but they're still a fair way off. Looks like Adelaide, CC, Sydney and Heart have all (or will) achieve their targets. Not sure about Wellington achieving their target of 4K; they're useless. Victory's is 23K and looks achievable, unbelievably.
