I've been unhappy with a number of things during Aloisi's time as Heart head coach, but the breaking point for me was the fact that we played our two worst games against our two worst opponents. We played our second worst game against Perth, and our worst game against Sydney at home. Under Aloisi we have consistently failed to beat teams that we should easily win against, and often we have emphatically failed (I'm also thinking of the final several games to last season).

 

I hope JA ultimately does well as a coach, but based on his coaching history, and especially because of the above point, he can't/won't be a successful coach at Heart for the foreseeable future.

Maybe we are going to try to break the NZ Knights record of 6 points in a season

We feel we need to hold some sort of record/s, so first will be the number of away games played without a win, outside your state.

NZ Knights hold that at 17. After the game against Jets, we should equal it and then break it soon after..

We have 2 points from 6 games so we are on track to break the 6 points in a season..

 

Two long standing records broken in 4 seasons.....WOW!!!

Imagine what we could achieve in another season or two..

 

And people say this club lacks ambition!

An angry protest by hardline "Ultras" fans finally ended outside AC Milan's San Siro stadium on Saturday nearly two hours after a 1-1 draw with Genoa, but only after demands to speak to players had been met.

Milan have endured a disastrous start to the campaign for the second successive season, and had targeted a win against Genoa to end a run of four games without a victory that has left the Serie A giants in the bottom half of the table.

But despite Genoa being reduced to 10 men just after the half hour when Thomas Manfredini was sent off for a foul on Mario Balotelli in the box, Milan failed to capitalise.

Italy striker Balotelli, who has not scored a league goal in two months, stunned the hosts when he missed from the penalty spot for only the second time in 23 career attempts.

Subjected to angry banners in the hardline Curva Sud (South Stand) throughout the game, almost the entire San Siro turned against Milan at the final whistle when jeers and insults rained down on Massimiliano Allegri's men.

A reported 400 fans then gathered outside the stadium to block the exit of Milan's squad bus, in doing so preventing the small party of fans who had travelled to support Genoa from leaving the stadium.

Milan, and the Genoa supporters, were finally allowed to leave shortly after midnight (local time) but not before the disgruntled supporters' demands for an audience with key players was met.

Television pictures later showed club icon Kaka, who returned to the club at the start of the season, and veteran goalkeeper Christian Abbiati meeting with fans in a bid to calm the situation.

Reports on domestic news agency ANSA said during the meeting an ultras "leader" hit out at the "unprofessional" attitude of a number of Milan's side and demanded improvements.

Milan's fifth draw in 13 games left the seven-times European champions 18 points off the pace of leaders Roma and 14 behind the first Champions League qualifying place occupied by Napoli.

Allegri, who escaped a pre-Christmas sacking last year, was given immediate backing by club vice-president Adriano Galliani, who called on fans to support the club in a difficult time.

"The fans shouldn't get dramatic, because all of this is not just down to the last game (that was played)," Galliani he told the Milan Channel.

In other results, Parma put a dent in Napoli's title hopes with a 1-0 win and last-placed Chievo Verona beat Hellas Verona 1-0 with a last-minute goal in a Serie A derby that hadn't been played in 11 years.

-Kewell needs to man the fuck up, if he gets injured again he should just resign too

- Scott Munn and the board need to apologize to fans for hiring a spud as manager. Apologize for the last 2 years of what we as fans have seen and some accountability needs to be taken somewhere.

John Aloisi is no longer untouchable as Heart keeps failing

JOHN Aloisi used to be untouchable. He nailed the penalty to send Australia to the 2006 World Cup and trigger Olympic-sized celebrations inside the Homebush cauldron. He was the first Australian to run around in La Liga, Serie A and the English Premier League.

 

Yet coaching is a hoary beast and even a sharp-dressed man of Aloisi's credentials has his neck on the chopping block after the Melbourne Heart slumped to their fifth straight A-League defeat.

 

He wore a red tie. Grey suit. Looked a million bucks. Kicked the living daylights out of a plastic chair as his coaching life flashed before his eyes at Hunter Stadium yesterday. The Heart lost 3-1.

 

Jets striker Adam Taggart drilled a hat trick as the Jets stayed third on the ladder. With 12,806 Novocastrians in full voice, Taggart was supposed to be the fill-in for Emile Heskey while the Liverpool giant recovered from injury. The 20-year-old has slotted three goals in six outings to become the A-League's leading scorer.

 

The Heart was without the injured Harry Kewell and barely had a pulse. The visitors' lone goal, from the boot of Andrea Migliorini, rebounded off Newcastle's Josh Mitchell. A rough night at the office. Aloisi yelled at his players, imploring them, pleading. He could see what needed to be done. No one was doing it. Aloisi walked a cruel and fine line. A fifth straight loss might be the end of him. Occasionally he took his seat, but only briefly.

 

Midway through the first half, the ball dribbled into Aloisi's hands. He should have packed up his gear and gone home. A scrappy contest eventuated. Scrappy is talking it up. Strong-ish winds were a factor.

 

Then a moment of brilliance from Taggart. In the 38th minute, he touched and turned and caned the opening goal from just outside the penalty box.

 

Aloisi took a long and thoughtful look at his brown plastic seat -- and delivered one swift kick. A minute later, Taggart was given a yellow card for a late challenge on Migliorini. All-in pushing and shoving. Handbags at five paces. Jets captain Ruben Zadkovich sprinted to join in, receiving a yellow card of his own.

 

When Andrew Hoole was cautioned in a frenzied three-minute stretch, the Jets had their third yellow card of the half. They also had the only goal.

 

Aloisi took his seat for the start of the second stanza. He stayed there for all of three seconds. In the 51st minute, a sight that would not have warmed the cockles: Heskey entering the fray.

 

Aloisi slumped back in his seat. Taggart slotted another superb goal from the perimeter of the box for 2-0 in the 55th minute. It was his second double in as many weeks. It would soon be a triple.

 

Migliorini took a speculative shot that rebounded off Josh Mitchell's elbow, evaded Birighitti and buried itself in the net in the 58th minute. Aloisi appeared ready, willing and able to pull his shirt over his head and do the aeroplane along the sideline. The ebullience was fleeting. Again from just outside the box, Taggart hit his target in the 55th minute, a bullet of a shot inside the right post. From a near-identical position, he slotted his third in the 62nd minute, this time to the left.

 

Two certainties emerged yesterday: the Jets won't be the only franchise chasing Taggart's signature for next season and beyond. And Aloisi is no longer untouchable.

If Aloisi had any reality of the situation he would be resigning and asking the club for the best way forward to protect him and the clubs best interest. Ditto the club.

I watched the replay of the game as I was at a Christening yesterday and missed the game and couldn't be more revolted with the club right now. No use being abusive or angry anymore cause the club don't give too shits about us.

Yarraside doing a silent protest is a start. There has to be some action to show we are not happy. I would personally say if you are going to sit there is silence you'd be better off just not turning up till half time. Would visibly show the decision makers the angst and they would shit themselves if there was no active support.

Other fans that are not part of Yarraside should be actioning their displeasure. What makes me laugh are the ever optimistic and supporting of mediocrity types. They are a true embarrassment to listen to. If you can't see what is wrong with our club and that we have serious issues you don't understand sport.

We are now officially the number one laughing stock in the league in the biggest sporting market probably in the world.

Good work Peter Sidwell, his board and our executive team. Couldn't be a worse collective.

When the day finally comes and JA does get sacked, the club should make the following home game free entry or something as a good will gesture to the fans. Even though members won't get their money back it as least something. I can live with the fact the club has screwed up. Acknowledgement is what shows you've learnt and take responsibility.

No-one's mentioned Hayden Foxe. Been told a by a little birdy that Foxe has a huge influence on how we play: the long ball out of defense is all his idea.

 

We've seen players who were doing well being subbed and wondered why.  Well its because they didn't "follow instructions".  Following instructions means that some players are not to ever to cut inside- and they've been benched for doing it.

 

Both Aloisi and Foxe need to be show the door.

It’s time for the Heart to sack Aloisi

 

After six games, the Melbourne Heart are on two points from a possible 18. Under-fire coach John Aloisi has the same amount of goals in his 20 games for the Heart as the Heart have wins under his 33 game reign – eight.

 

Aloisi’s team have gone backwards since he took over from Van’t Schip, with a 22 percent win percentage since he’s been in charge.

 

In his first year, he took the team that finished sixth the previous season – and were top three for most of December – to ninth, and has continued his form with them currently resting at 10th.
