Disappointing, but I think that we were going to lose the game from the moment Grant was red-carded. The game shows us where were are though, and the result is no surprise. We move the ball well but we're impotent in attack apart from JMac. Neutralise him and we struggle to score.

Positives

good performance from Atkinson, deserves his space ahead of Jamo

 

Negatives:

The result

Failed to score against 10 men, as usual, we struggle against organised deep defences that counter-attack. We scored when the surfs were playing more attacking football, but the surfs changed their tactics with the red-card.

JMac out of form, his runs were poor but he was very isolated with little support

No-one needs some time on the bench

Ball speed is too slow, so rarely pulled the smurfs out of shape

Terribe terrible efficiency in front of goal

Mentality, we just don't want to win important games
