Friday night answered a few questions. We are definitely a different side to seasons past. Previously we would have lost 0:3 but with this current team we have a stronger resolve and I'm pretty confident more often than not we will fight out games.

It was interesting that we went for the win as opposed settle for a point but that's a discussion for another time.

As far a the Semi goes we will benefit from the Tards wanting to attack and because of this we will have more space.  Our players are collectively of greater technical ability and also physically and mentally stronger and therefore will win. Due to both coaches being pretty dogmatic in structure and lacking alternative plans it will come down to individual skill.

3:4 win with a couple reds.

(Penalties very strong possibility).

Perth should have been 0-3 up anyway and on another night we would have been down that much,

vicrory are going to kick lumps out of us, they will evenly spread the yellow cards amongst the team and ensure we get no flow in our game..expect them to hit the 20+ foul mark like they did against Adelaide , they will play on the counter and let us have the ball because they're a dud team that can barely string 2-3 passes together, yet none of this means Jack if we don't move the ball the crisply and make our possession meaningful, which it largely wasn't on Friday night,

rojas looms as the big danger, he and berisha can touch the ball 5 times in a game and probably still end up with a goal each, we can't get sliced open by this lot because they will be clinical.

We are all about learning from our previous seasons and going one step further at city/heart. There is only one way to up the ante. That is why we will easily beat the visitors and then get humiliated in the cup final taking spirit crushing to whole new level

If we don't play 4 back and mark Austin and Rojas then we will lose, as they are the only chance they have for any sort of scoring opportunity.

Muscat's tactics are so predictable its a joke.

They have no defense and no mid-field, so they will flood defensively and counter out wide, if JVS can't plan against this tactic then he has to be sacked the next day because losing this game would be ridiculous.

Given we absolutely brained them 9 days ago playing with a back 3, surely we deploy the exact same tactics and allow for a Plan B if its not working.

Heaps of tickets left. Seems as though there is no interest here from either side. 15k I reckon.

I'm not surprised. Where's the f******* advertising? Go to the front page of Ticketek at http://premier.ticketek.com.au/ and there's nothing I can see. If you go to "Sports" you then have to click on "M-Z" to find it because it's advertised under "Westfield." FFS.

Only adverts I've seen for it have been on Fox Sports. Wouldnt be good if it doesnt get close to selling out cause the ticket prices are more than reasonable.

Day before English exam, Tuesday night, Tards got creamed by us 9 days ago... Not an ideal time for a cup game but there was no other choice really

I'd say both Colazo and Kamau would be unlikely which doesn't help us for this game. The reports of Kamau looking fine after the game, I'll take with a grain of salt. He was immediately subbed off with a concussion and it would appear incredibly reckless for him to front up for a game a few days later.

All the pressure is on City tomorrow night. Let's see if our boys are up to it.

I was quite surprised he went off. I've seen players get hit in the head far worse than he did and they played on

He was clearly staggering as he made his way to the sideline and I doubt he would have made it under his own power, without falling over. The conditions probably wouldn't have helped (cold weather + soggy ball wouldn't tickle). Regardless, he's gone off immediately with a concussion. If he lines up on Tuesday for us, I'm sure there would be more than a few people asking the question, "What's he doing out there?" Teams in all sports these days are going to err on the side of caution.

Seems about right.

midweek and not advertised.

If it was our home game vs say Wellington we'd be looking at 4-5k. Add a few because it's s derby then add 1.5 times that for tards.

Not really, it just means he has clearance from the medical staff. Just because he got hit in the face doesn't mean he has concussion in the real sense, I think the term gets used way to loosely.

Maybe, but he was subbed off before they'd even bothered to give him an extensive concussion test. For those that were sitting on my side of the ground (where the benches are) we had a pretty clear view of him staggering to the sidelines, under the assistance of a trainer.

I can see what will happen if he starts on Tuesday and plays poorly (or, alternatively, he plays a big role in us winning): people in the media will bring up the visuals of him stumbling uneasily to the sidelines and ask "why was he playing?" They'll bring up recent stories about retired NFL players and players in other sports and talk about the duty of care that our coaches and medical staff have to the players. It's just not worth the negative publicity, as far as I'm concerned. Let him rest up and hopefully he'll be right for Adelaide.

Mainstream media and social media ignorance is always entertaining.

Concussion doesn't necessarily happen from a hard hit. Not that i am an expert in the sport, but in MMA they always talk about getting someone "on the button". I have seen people hit the floor from what looked like a light jab because of where they were hit

From the club website

"The short turnaround between matches has ruled out Nicolas Colazo who will visit the specialist this week to assess his ear injury that progressed from his Round 1 head clash.

Question marks still remain on the state of Bruce Kamau however with the winger completing Monday’s session but there is still uncertainty on whether the effects of a ball to the head will linger for this match.

In positive news, van’t Schip confirmed Luke Brattan will be involved after finishing Friday’s match hobbling. The influential midfielder looks fit after dealing with cramp in his calf and will be right for Tuesday’s Semi Final."

Be hopes he's back for Friday.  We'll need his talent and fresh legs.

We've got enough depth in the squad to win this. I'm more concerned with our mental attitude to the match than anything else.

That said, with now both Gameiro and Kuzmanovski out with ACL injuries, we're going to be light on unless we can get an injury replacement winger, and I hope we're trying.

In all seriousness, if you haven't learnt nothing by now, one day won't make a difference. See you at the game!
