Nate
Good squad for the upcoming qualifiers! Giannou is an amazing get, he'll surely get minutes. Also interestingly, both Risdon and Geria were selected ahead of Franjic (which is entirely justified tbh) so it'll be interested to see if either of them start ahead of McGowan. I really like Geria, but Risdon seems to have a lot more grit about him which I also like. Terry ANTONIS PAOK, GREECE Nathan BURNS F.C. Shahanga
Bit surprised Meredith & McLaren weren't included. The Jordan game is critical.

I'm not sure Smith or Gersbach are up to the task of starting, which makes me wonder why neither Davidson or Behich were called up either? Maclaren is the unluckiest omission based on form, I agree. Cruelest selection I've seen for a long time.

Shahanga
Adam Peacock described the upcoming 2 games as "formalities". Hardly. Lose to Jordan (again) and that could* be the end of our World Cup campaign. I hope Ange takes the matches more seriously than Peacock. * we would finish 2nd and need a bit of luck to get through. Shahanga
A few changes. Harry Redknapp parachuted in by Jordan to help them win this huge game vs us. A big name, but the bloke has about a week to prepare an unknown squad, so I doubt anyone is panicking in our camp. In other news Antonis is out injured and McKay comes in to replace him. Not sure it changes a lot socceroos-wise, but I do know it weakens Aloisi FC.

Dylan
I'm listening to world of football on SEN and JVS was on and started talking about Mooy (game was on a screen in the studio) saying how great he was and said something like he always wants to be involved in the play like now then mooy scored ahah

Shahanga
What a pleasure that game was to watch. Remember just over 2 years ago when we couldn't break down Iraq's U23 side in a game we had to win to make the World Cup? With a team of guys who debuted for Frank Farina a decade or so before? Continually being told "Asian teams are improving" when anyone questioned our results and performances. Ange has got us back on the right track. Incidentally of the starting XI, 8 players got their start in the A League, with 1 of the other 3 being too old to do that.
