I'd say the negotiations are still continuing with Brattan, Schenkeveld and Good. Past seasons suggest that it's too early to see announcements yet. Give it another couple of weeks at least.

citymad
Western Sydney Wanderers are seeking to lure off-contract Melbourne City midfielder Luke Brattan as they gear up for next season’s residency at brand new Bankwest Stadiu  But the Wanderers might face competition from Sydney FC should the unsettled Josh Brillante land a deal in the K-League next month, potentially leaving a vacancy for the Sky Blues to fill. The also off-contract Brillante came close to joining Pohang Steelers in March, only for the deal to collapse at the last minute. To further complicate matters Brattan - who was still officially on Manchester City’s books last season whilst on loan at City - is also eyeing a K-League move. The transfer window re-opens in the Korea Republic on 1 July. At 29, it might be Brattan’s last chance to secure another offshore opportunity after his dalliance with Manchester City. The Premier League Champions subsequently loaned the Brisbane Roar product to Bolton back in 2016 and then on to their Melbourne satellite, where he has spent the last three seasons. There is also an offer on the table to re-sign with coach-less Melbourne City, but on terms not viewed as advantageous by the Brattan camp. The Wanderers, meanwhile, see the creative Brattan as the ideal replacement for departed German Alexander Baumjohann as they set about rebuilding after cutting 11 players last month. Brattan made 25 appearances last season under Englishman Warren Joyce - whom he endured an at times testy relationship with - scoring four goals and claiming four assists. Wanderers, whose coach Markus Babbel is due back from a trip to his native Germany at the end of June, are keen to conclude a deal and may not be prepared wait too long for an answer before possibly looking elsewhere. Brattan’s agent Zeljko Susa declined to comment when quizzed over his future, with a Wanderers official following suit when approached by The World Game. - I can only see Brattan going to Korea personally

Imtellingyou
Bart was individually brilliant defender but he couldn't help us with our goals. We shouldn't overspend on marquee defenders.

This Forum rated Schenkeveld and Delbridge as 1-2 in the Player of the Year competition. IIRC Schenkeveld made the League's "Team of the Year." IMO we should be doing everything possible to retain him for the longer term. Whether that's as a marquee or not is up to how we juggle our salary cap. Sydney seem to be able to do it, so why not us?

Making the best defender in the league with a good age marquee makes perfect sense, it would have been complete shambles without him. Our biggest mistake would be making Mclaren marquee he’s showed in the closing stages of the season why he isn’t worth it. Bart carries the team and Jamie needs a team to carry him, this is wrong. Please don’t come up with Jamie’s goalscoring record again as Jamie is a player who plays better with better players around him and doesn’t create. Saying that it’s all going to depend on how the salaries are divided. Edited June 8, 2019 by Mr MO

AFAIK it's too late about Maclaren - he'll be one of two marquees next season, and he's contracted until the end of the 2021-22 season. The result of the stupidity of Warren Joyce specifically and the club and CFG more generally over Bruno Fornaroli.

All can still be alright if this season we will put our money in the first eleven team and not contract fringe players in high wages. Unfortunately in this league you can’t afford to have too many equal players competing for every starting spot. Just invest in clear starting players. My concern we won't have a quality AM and most likely have average wingers, where does that leave Jmac? Now obviously it's mid June and we still don't know who will be coach let alone likely types of players but on the past 4 or 5 off seasons I'm not expecting much. IMO a marquee player should demonstrably be a marquee player whatever he has around him.

bt50
Highly unlikely imo. i can't see why we'd offer even a 300k deal for another striker - waste of money with Jmac there. IMO our efforts go solely into resigning Bart, and his replacement if he decides to leave, and then AM and two wingers. Do that, and with the youth we have imo we are set for a good season (barring yet another spastic coach).

Presumably wouldnt be outrageously expensive either so would allow us to really go for broke on the other winger.
