GreenSeater
Well folks it's us against the newly crowned premiers Brisbane Roar up in Queensland. Due to the fact that Brisbane are 12 points clear on top of the league, our form over the last 3 weeks and the fact that it is outside of Melbourne I have very little hope for this game. Personally think we're up for a drubbing against a team who can cruise to the title, Brisbane 3 - 0 Melbourne.
Defibrillator
With JVS implying he will experiment with the squad for the last three games, this could get ugly or ironically unmask some untapped tactic that reaps immediate rewards. I just hope the squad is shown Mulvey's comments post our last win over the Roar a month ago. Thought he was pretty disrespectful and dismissive despite us taking the points. Should fire the lads up. hakz7
It's 7pm local time so it's 8pm AEDT (9pm GMT) Nevertheless, not expecting much from this... just hope we don't get smashed as some players might realise there's nothing to play for. mulhollanddrive
JVS said he'll experiment a bit so: Velaphi Walker Wielaart Vrankovic Mitchinson Mauk Engelaar Kalmar Germano Kewell Garuccio I think all of them are out of contract too. NewConvert
Hoffman needs a rest. Bring in Walker, even if he is out of the picture for next season at least it may showcase him to another club.
NewConvert
Just remembered that Dugandzic has been playing with a strapped knee for the last few weeks. If there are doubts on his fitness then he should be rested and allowed to recuperate. If the knee requires medical intervention then send him off to surgery and let his recovery begin. Dylan
I know redders has been terrible but tando is a total spastic. Actually looking forward to this since JVS said he is going to experiment with the lineup formation and tactics

jw1739
JvS is probably in a worse position now than he was when he took over as caretaker, when, really, he had absolutely nothing to lose because we were in such a parlous position. We appeared to have turned the season around, or at least achieved some respectability, he's been appointed for the next three years......and we've blown the past three matches taking one point out of nine and returning to be the "old Heart." Does he throw caution to the winds and try something new, or does he try to avoid losing the last four matches of the season and turning 2013-2014 into the same as previous seasons - a complete fade-out at the end? Perhaps one way of proceeding would be to not play anyone who the club intends to release? (Pablo Casals: "The situation is hopeless; we must now take the next step.") Haydos
Heading up for this. Was hoping it would be a 'must win game', but not to be. Roar to win 2-1, after we take an unlikely 1-0 lead through a deflection, getting out hopes up, then have them dashed away but yet another defensive error. stewmac
I would rather we didn't experiment & tried to avoid the wooden spoon , if we do end up bottom at the end of season then the winning streak would have been all pointless ! NewConvert
If, as the rumour mill has it, Walker will not be offered another contract then perhaps as compensation for having been subjected to Aloisi's coaching, Walker should be given game time to make a case for another club to pick him up. ontheball
Would be surprise to see any of the outcasts play. Some would be gone if Heart were willing to show some faith in the youth and promote them to the senior ranks but that cost $10k.
