  1. Contract in Melbourne will expire. Signs decent multi year deal with Manchester. 1st year with a modest wage, loaned back to Melbourne. 2nd year Yokohama with Ange or if already good enough Europe. 3rd year Sold to highest bidder for a nice prophet for the CFG.
  2. I want to hear "you all live in the same caravan" through my tv. Come on lads!
  3. Ange tends to never forget those players he trusts. But considering Rukavytsya is at the same club and I haven't heard of his name, anywhere, in a couple of years. this surely isn't a great move for this Troisi's Socceroos career. He's A-League quality but I don't like him, not bummed on missing out. Shocked by the Honda Mexico move. Most be some serious coin in that league with he and Ginac there.
  4. +1. Rutger Worm was a better crosser of the ball than Austin is. All he has in his favour is raw speed and a powerful shot that usually ends up way off target. Would take Novillo or try to find another one like him any day.
  5. Top of the division with 4 wins of 12 and a goal difference of +1. The east in the MLS is worse than the NBA!
  6. So annoying when you realise Simon Hill and Harps are calling the game before. Hoping no Cokerill and Harnwell or Dodd
  7. Fornaroli, Mooy & Novillo combined have more goals than any other team this season.
  8. Davutovic wrote that Erik's contract is heavily backloaded. So with his current output, in the long term it might not be so bad and probably how CFG sees it too. Wonder if there was a transfer fee.
  9. I love how there's all this talk about squad depth & competition for positions... Yet they'll release their most experienced player (yes who's shit but still provides depth and competition) and not be actively seeking a replacement. Just CFG foxing I reckon.
  10. Technically with a guest there could be two....
  11. More importantly does he still have the hair?!?
  12. Why did Koren run beside Henrique in that last play and not go for the ball. He either gets the ball and saves the day or stops the goal by fouling, coping a red and missing next week... saving us all.
  13. FOUUUR IN A ROW! FOUR IN A ROOOWWWW! How good must we be its four in a row!
  14. a little late. The difference from being a 1-3 team and a 3-6 team.
  15. Pretty stunning/encouraging that Hume scored 3 times, they didnt even create 3 half chances in their NPL semi V Bentleigh on the weekend. Bentleigh>Visitors
  16. During 09/10 season at the age of 37 Schwarzer played for Fulham 60 times (PL, FA cup & Europa) compared to Sorensen's total 55 appearances for Stoke over the past 5 seasons. Age 34-39. So Apples and oranges there. Thomas made a fantastic back up keeper for me at Bayern Munich on Fifa08 though! Interested to see whats on offer for him, surely a 39 y.o Dane who's spent the best part of the past 15 years in England isn't coming half way around the world with his family for a footballing challenge or to win silverware. Especially for salary cap monies. There would have to be some sort of lucrative coaching or admin role on offer with CFG.
  17. Citizenship in September? Eligable for Salary Cap Loyalty allowance next Season. Everything's coming up Shony! Having him cost nothing within the cap nor taking up a visa place would make him very valuable to the club for the 10 games a season he'll play. Not to mention all of his hours working as the clubs spanish translator. Seriously though I love the way he goes about it when on the park and he's a lovely guy so hopefully it all works out for both parties.
  18. Cahill's kids wearing NYCFC jerseys whilst meeting Pirlo at a club function with their father.... lol
  19. Jimmy Briand! Lyon attacking connection with Novillo would be amazeballs. The lesser clubs won't mind this one would think due to the upcoming TV Rights negotiations. The better the product, the more money paid, the more the clubs should get. Probably won't come in for the upcoming season though as Sydney already have 2 marquees. And also Victory have 5 visa players. It is the FFA...
  20. Mooy supporting him, with help from Novillo and Gamerio, So you're suggesting false 9? Pretty sure that's not good for his morale. The group of midfielders is the same as last season. So how's he going to get his preferred position back to boost his morale (weak excuse, for a lacklustre season, makes him sound like a real precious cunt) when Mooy, Melling and even Germano are preferred over him. Absolute let down as marquee and at 35, a marquee standard season is probably not ahead of him. Hopefully he can be a decent role player though and provide some touches of class now and then like last season.
  21. Was doing some reading on Michael just a few weeks ago, and thought we'd be no chance. When fit easily one of the best domestic LB's available. Recruitment of Australian players thus far has been fantastic, hopefully Michael and Scorey's knees have no future issues, as they'll play a big part in any potential success. But both signings have elements of risk attached. wonder how much the "facilities" played a part in them choosing to sign with City.
  22. Yeah this. Aus Marquee has done its dash, now milligans gone its hard to see any australians in the league that'd be on 500k+ as Marquees, potentially Spira and Brosque. anyone else? i'm sure the smaller clubs would be well against 3 designated players, but changing Aus to Asian marquee is a decent start.
  23. Sorensen didn't play professionally at all last season and has played a total of 12 games in the previous 3 seasons compared to Schwartzer's 59 and he's 2 years his senior. Sorensen is pretty close to washed up and isn't worth signing IMO.
