Popular Post hedaik Posted October 5, 2014 Popular Post Report Share Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) As part of the continual improvements to MelbourneFootball.com, we have decided to start a new initiative in running a week by week fans vote for man of the match, and player of the year. The voting will help give the fans a voice in recognising our star players, as well as helping generate further discussion and debate in the forum. How it will work: After each game a 48 hour poll will be created where all registered users will be able to place a single vote for their man of the match. The winner of this vote will win the man of the match award. As the amount of people voting will be different for each game, the total votes will be converted into a proportion of 100 (the percentage of the total vote) and added to an overall tally. So if Redmayne were to receive 5 votes out of a total of 50, then he will have 10 points added to his player of the year tally. If he receives 150 out of 200 votes, then he will receive 75 points. On a serious note it could possibly given out at the end of season awards night? Since they have a clubman award and things like that, it might be a nice fit. Oh and I am semi serious about the scarf. We could have fan submitted scarf designs with another poll on here to decide which one and then a special one off made and presented to the player. We want the poll results to be secret to build up some anticipation for the final announcement (and so Tesla can create a betting market on the winner), however the forum software doesnt allow it and needs some haxoring done to it.
