  1. Tell them that, if they want to watch football, then, apart from going to see WU, a Melbourne City game has the lowest risk of corona virus transmission in the League

  2. When your side doesn’t register a shot until the 72nd minute you can’t complain about the refereeing

  3. Agree. Brisbane have developed a habit of scoring late recently. Those two late subs we made just halted their moment enough and the Delbridge one as weird as it seemed, was made to make them a little more accountable. It may not have been the most entertaining game, but it was definitely a job well done and I thought managed quite comfortably - despite Fowler thinking they were robbed for some stupid reason. Exactly what was required with all our direct ladder opponents falling over this weekend.

  4. If we were chasing the game, then yes. But as we were leading and they were coming at us, Metcalfe was the better option.

  5. Big fan of Glover, but yes, I would have thought he would have learned a lesson about settinv up walls correctly after playing for Olyroos. Maybe it is something our GK coach needs to work with him on.

  6. Personally i thought the gaffer nailed the subs and the timing.

  8. Does Griffiths already have kids? He doesn't look too worried about the family jewels. Luna clearly wants a big family.

  9. His best isn’t as good as Bouzanis but his worst certainly isn’t as bad as Bouzanis and that happy medium is probably what we need if we want to string some games together coming into finals. At the end of the day, the guy will start next season having played about 15 league games, a number of Olyroos matches and an Olympic games (beit is starter or otherwise). Quite happy with where we sit with the GK position all things considered.

  10. Yes, pretty poor delivery, however I still think the wide play doesn't maximise our forward strengths. Even if we try to come forward through the centre and get it to Jamie's feet, he may not have a clear shot but at least he may drag out 2 defenders and create space for other players running through. We need some other plays to break up the deep defensive lines and become more unpredictable going forward. And to add as many others have mentioned for a few seasons now, we need to move the ball faster and with more intent.

  11. I think you might be missing JW's point. If the visa players are the only ones outside the cap then potentially a very highly paid Aussie's could cause a team to be outside the cap when under the current (and more strict) rules they would not be outside the cap and not cause any issues. e.g. a $1M a season Aussie brought inside the cap for four $200k a season visa players.

  12. In my opinion, one of Jmac's weakest feature is actually taking on defenders at one on one and general fieldplay. He just needs to be put one on one with the goalkeeper or get good low or high crosses so he can ran against them - Any more time on the ball will get to his head and he won't even get the shot on target, that's obvious the last couple of games.

  14. Mann's Hockey stick theory, which was the premise of the NASA UNIPCC Al Gore propaganda all those years ago has been debunked over and over again. Actually at the time it was questioned because scientists from around the world acquired data that didn't support it, an when Mann was asked for his data that supported his theory he refused. Up until this day no scientist has had access to that data. And yet this big propaganda machine based on fake data and pushed into every part of our lives by the fake science religion headed by UNIPCC and spewing out of the mouths of the Marxist Greens and Labour party. Even more frightening is the indoctrination of our children through lying propaganda set by the Marxist education department who is instilling fear into our children with no truth to what is taught whatsoever. It is also a fact that this 97% consensus thing is totally fake because of the 1500 scientists that were asked if they support the Mann-based fake science only about 57 were said to have responded (again questionable truth) and out of that 57 there was a 97% conconsensus. So the whole consensus thing is bogus. But again, to everyone reading this, don't believe anything I say but rather understand that it is NOT settled science, do your own research with NO Bias, and find the truth yourself. A great quote to remember when being presented and challenged with new information, 'There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments, and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance—that principle is contempt prior to investigation.'

  15. Glover did a dodgy wall at the Olympic quals too. This one wasn’t quite as bad, but a good dead ball specialist would have scored

  17. I'm not saying glover was a problem yesterday, he was fine... But if oshea free kick went in rather than half a metre wide, that was squarely on glover and where he set his wall up He is young, he is allowed to make mistakes. I just hope we arnt glossing over them cause they havnt cost us anything yet

  19. How is Genreau "much better" just out of curiosity? Not being a smart arse, geniune question. I rate both these lads (and all the youth), and would love to see them on the field together more, but with all due respect, Genreau's had 4 years to prove himself, Metcalfe's had about 4 months. If you compare their stats, Metcalfe is way ahead .......What is it that I'm not seeing??

  22. Don’t want to derail the other thread so I’ll post this here in response to @Shahanga’s latest post. I’m not sure they will go with the five foreign marquees. Chris Fong was pretty clear on it in this article. https://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/time-to-scrap-salary-cap-says-mariners-boss-charlesworth

  26. Colazo was a class above Susaeta. IIRC he scored 4-5 goals for us and was stricken with a ruptured eardrum for some of the time he was with us - which is a debilitating condition. For me, Susaeta is a huge disappointment, as is Noone.

  28. Big win. The way Brisbane set up the game was always going to be a struggle but actually we created plenty of chances and only a first class display from Young kept them in it. We were the only team in the 6 to win, so all in all a great weekend for us.

  33. From the NASA website Do scientists agree on climate change? Yes, the vast majority of actively publishing climate scientists – 97 percent – agree that humans are causing global warming and climate change. Sorry but NASA is full of shit just like the rest of these government funded bodies. John Cook's 97% crappy study has been throughly debunked and no serious scientist uses that line because its utterly embarrassing. The data used has proven to be deliberately manipulated and created as a tool to win over the masses. The 97% was put together by lumping a number scientific papers which indeed endorsed anthropogenic global warming. The problem is, some of papers authors claimed human impact but did not quantify it, others claim anthropogenic global warming was a concern but had no position on the cause, in fact only handful of the papers specifically quantified the human impact to be over 50% ie "the main cause". Most of the papers does not go into detail in regards to cause and its long or short term impact. Here's a perfect example of how a statement can be turned into propaganda very easily. Say I'm asked my opinion on male domestic violence... I make the statement that male domestic violence is a horrible thing and it needs to be stopped. 1 female killed a week is 1 too many. I also add that an Australian female is 6 times more likely to die on our roads and puts into perspective that Australia has a very low Female death rate due to domestic violence compared to the rest of that world... Manipulation: HeartFc agrees that male domestic violence is a horrible thing and needs to be stopped. (no nuances mentioned, just a blanket statement which can be fit into headline and tacked onto some random percentage of agreement or disagree.
