But normally when I ask about a rumour that turns out to be true, he admits to being in discussion with a number of players. He flat out denied this one. I know you've got Mauk and Garuccio who are potentially better options than the players leaving but we're still 2 lighter than we were.... The odds of us actually looking now have gone up with the arrival of the blue overlords. There would be heaps of strikers available, but not heaps of Australian (or kiwi) ones who can come in and make an impact straight away. We made a big deal of signing him. He wasn't fit enough to play, but then when he did come in he had a very good strike ratio goals/games. And then just faded away. Next season hasn't got anything to do with it - we've played people in the past who already knew that they weren't going to be signed for the following season.
