No use hoping that the circle-jerk over the WWC will lead to growth in football if you don't advertise what your club is doing.

Exactly this. Should be capitalising on this national interest in football to say "Hey, you liked watching the matildas? Well a bunch of socceroos will be playing next week in melbourne - come down and get around it". City especially should be all over this considering Victory are out of the cup (lol) so we have a clean run at them.

Every chance it doesn't work because most of the casual fans have next to no interest in proper (domestic) club football, but the club would be silly to not even have a go at converting them to City supporters.

Of course, if we had any of the WNT in our squad we could get them to the match to sign autographs etc. etc....but we don't.

Let's not all comment at once

If we're playing on Metrostars'  home ground (T.K.Shutter Reserve) it'll be the closest to a public park that any of our players will have ever played a competitive match on. There are no stadium facilities there according to Wikipedia.

Don't underestimate Brisbane they actually looked alright

I must say the Aloisi brother no one knows is doing pretty well and the yoof have revitalised the club from the guys they had playing last season. I thought they were going to be a basket case again, but they are looking pretty good like you say.

He is actually the better coach of the two imo.
