cadete
Saurez should be banned for life. Any player should be banned for life IMO if they are going to use their mouth to offend an opponent - Biting or Spiting. Fucken disgusting - I dont know how a person who does such a thing can look at themselves in mirror... the bloke must be deluded. The combination of biting an opponent on 3 completely separate occasions and blatant racism inc. the pathetic attempt to defend it ("If I was in Uruguay I could call him a N") is enough for at least a 2 year suspension if a life ban isn't possible. Couldn't give a fuck how good he is, it's terrible for the game by him constantly getting let off so lightly. Horrible human. That's not including the amount he dives or the handball incident in 2010 WC against Ghana in the QF Edited June 25, 2014 by Begbie

This ffs What's worse is his clear non existent remorse (He has said 'These things happen in the penalty box' in regards to his bite) and is a clear chance to re-offend since this is already his third time. It would never happen, but Liverpool should sack him and FIFA should ban him for life. good fucking riddance. btw if he wasnt on the pitch Uruguay wouldnt have won the corner which lead to their goal. DutchPride
I genuinely did not know this. I just thought the difference between Nederlands and Holland was that one was dutch and one was english like Deutschland and Germany. there is an old saying God made the World, but the Dutch made Holland Holland, as said above is reclaimed from the sea, it is actually below sea level, with the water held back by dykes, and the famous story of the little boy with his finger in the dyke saving a community this is why the term Holland is more widely used etc I won't explain more about dykes From my personal experiences and connections with people out of holland, it isn't such a big to deal them, obviously there are some who care about it but people I know aren't really fussed as I said earlier

However it is so ironic that we call for life ban for a bite (x3) where non of them caused any serious injury apart from humiliating the rat himself, yet another individual managed to go through his whole life on field ending other's players careers by braking bones and using his studs a weapon yet he represented Australia and is currently coaching while still idolised is some (low IQ) circles. I would be fucking spewing if every socceroos game the fans were chanting lets go sydney, lets go calm down bro Genuinely wondering though, do most Dutch people not care? Tough one to answer, a long a varied history with many twists and turns a very simplistic (and not too well received by my Dutch friends) is that the words Dutch and Deutsch are not too dissimilar. Germanic tribes settled in the lowlands , eons ago, then like most of Europe, various waves of invaders and settlers passed through Essentially correct. The entry on 'Dutch' in my History of Middle Europe Dictrionary from Undergrad European History. In the 15th and 16th c. ‘Dutch’ was used in England in the general sense in which we now use ‘German’, and in this sense it included the language and people of the Netherlands as part of the ‘Low Dutch’ or Low German domain. After the United Provinces became an independent state, using the ‘Nederduytsch’ or Low German of Holland as the national language, the term ‘Dutch’ was gradually restricted in England to the Netherlanders, as being the particular division of the ‘Dutch’ or Germans with whom the English came in contact in the 17th c.; while in Holland itself duitsch, and in Germany deutsch, are, in their ordinary use, restricted to the language and dialects of Germany and of adjacent regions, exclusive of the Netherlands and Friesland; though in a wider sense ‘deutsch’ includes these also, and may even be used as widely as ‘Germanic’ or ‘Teutonic’. Thus the English use of Dutch has diverged from the German and Netherlandish use since 1600.

HEARTinator
Group G early tomorrow morning should be interesting. Points table (goal diff) is: Germany +4 (+4), USA +4 (+1), Ghana +1 (-1), Portugal +1 (-4). If USA and Germany play out a draw then they both go through. USA lose then Ghana chance to overtake if they beat Portugal - it will depend on goal difference though. Portugal has a goal difference of -4 compared to USA +1 so would need a massive win over Ghana. Hopefully CR7 to play his usual role of 'sooky sooky la la'
Nate
I hope Germany and USA draw, easily the two most deserving teams in the group! Have a feeling the US will choke with Ghana to capitalise though.

Tesla
A little bit on the lenient side IMO. What's 9 international games, about a year of international football? So 4 months of all football, and a year of international. Not bad, but given over one month is pre season, I would have liked to see the ban from all football be a bit longer. n i k o
Really? To me it looked like a normal clearance for the defender, except the ball took an abnormally high bounce. The other less viable option is he leaves the ball to go through to the centre of the box.
Nate
The ball skidded off the deck at a really awkward height so it's hard to blame him, it was brilliant to watch though ahaha

Its hard to argue with this assessment, given its his THIRD offence. its about double what he got last time, which is fair enough, but its that second suspension that was inadequate, as it was almost the same as his first suspension (9 games first time around, 10 games 2nd time). I would have thought 9 games first time, 18 games second time, 36 games third time.

Alexxandro
Penalties. Wow. Chile should win with less pressure and the boost from coming back from 1 0 down.
