Nate
What's the go with trains? Apparently the last one doesn't leave long after the match. 5.20 I think, kick-off is at 3 so it'd definitely be pushing it Yeh thought it was something like that. Would be ace if we could get some sort of confirmation as it's only a fortnight away. Otherwise, http://youtube.com/watch?v=EnJEeHND_lQ Fucking yes ahahahahaha

hedaik
I'll be driving up early Sunday morning and coming back directly after the game. Got spare seats in the car for anybody who lives or can get to the inner northern suburbs. Just need to be able to put up with 3 hours of hip hop and throw in a few dollars for petrol. yampy
Driving up from Portarlington, Google maps reckons its 4 hours 30 minutes each way. That's a lot of pie stops there and back.
Footballism
Best of luck finding people willing to drive their cars (Y) FWIW, the last train gets back in Melb at 940 not 1105. Dunno where he got 1105 from. If that bus timetable is right though you wouldn't be able to make it back to the station in time anyway. Pity an express service couldn't have been organised for a bit later; would only be 3 - 3 and a half hours.
bazzatron
Why wouldnt people want to drive? You dont want to drive, but others might. Good luck getting a lift You're right I thought it looked wrong. Still only leaves 20minutes after the game.
Footballism
Why wouldnt people want to drive? You dont want to drive, but others might. Good luck getting a lift Thanks, mate. Just saying I hope everyone who wants to go is able to get there, I know in the past it's been difficult to find enough cars, especially with all the youth, etc. Unfortunately I think a lack of decent PT will result in less people going. Still only leaves 20minutes after the game. Wouldn't the first bus get to Albury station at 5:30 considering they will begin departing at 5 and according to that schedule they appear to take 30 minutes? HeartinHobart
I really can't see why 3-4 buses couldn't have been organised by the club. Roughly $40 pp with 60 on each bus the club would more then re coup costs.

El Cunado
Driving up and back on the Sunday. Looking likely to have a full car but may have a spare seat leaving from the inner northern Melbourne. Hopefully someone can organise a dedicated bus or two to head up to the match, if only so I don't have to tough out Albury sober. Should be fun though. Its a shame they couldnt negotiate with Vline to get the 5:20 to leave at 6 Ive been on that 5.20 before there are pretty much no passengers. Braveheart
If you are catching the train, book your tickets early so that extra carriages can be arranged and the train departure time for the return journey can be pushed back slightly by the club so there is adequate time to make it back from the ground to the station. Is this depending on numbers or are they going to push the train back anyway? Don't want to book, not get the numbers and therefore miss the train on the way back. Popular Post johnno cpfc
Just a word of caution to all who venture up here( i am on the spot) you should definitely remember to Slip Slop Slap because the sunshine here is much more severe and 37c is like 40c and there is NO cool change as in Melbourne. lots of luck with the train guys. As of Tuesday the 11th i will be a Melbourne resident so hope to go to all home games in the future.
