Heart_fan
Was chatting with a friend today who has been involved with a supplier to this project and it appears they are very close to moving in. Seems to have taken a bit longer than the club expected but progress is being made.
Dylan
Did he tell you where it is?
Heart_fan
2 Crissane Road (Latrobe University) There's been a few pix on here that have shown the development. Not been any updates lately though to see what it looks like now.
Dylan
I think they are my photos you are referring to. I went there a couple of weeks ago and it looked like the inside had just started being demolished and there was no signage anywhere. In fact the only new signs that I saw were latrobe and the language centro that were on the front door.
Attack11
Is this project funded my the CFG or was it already agreed to by the previous owners.. Are these facilities office space as well ad training facilities?
Heart_fan
^^ It would be a CFG undertaking. The previous owners may have had ideas to do so, but their limited appetitite to spend anything likely meant things like this were a no go. Â From my understanding, the complex is a training and administration base, bringing the organisation into one location for the first time. Â I think they are my photos you are referring to. I went there a couple of weeks ago and it looked like the inside had just started being demolished and there was no signage anywhere. In fact the only new signs that I saw were latrobe and the language centro that were on the front door. Â Those signs on the door were likely still there from the previous use of the building. Â The address that was provided to me was the one those pix were taken at, which along with the new pitch that has been constructed, alligns with the information given. Heart_fan
The street view from the carpark doesn't show any upgrades, but when you look at those taken on Crissane Road, there are updates that show construction underway,

Heart_fan
Apparently so. The Building closest to the front carpark seems to be where the focus has been. Â Will see if I can get any more updates from him.

Tony999
Looks like a school. No issue with that. Perhaps CFG could introduce a Sharia-like Law and teach these muppets running the club a thing or two. You fail in your role? belaguttman
Everytime I walk to AAMI Park I always wonder why CFG doesn't do football and our franchise a favour and just offer Collingwood what it takes to just fuck off out of the football precinct and find some AFL facility to train at.

Heart_fan
Looks like an impressive set up. Will wait to see what the inside of the refurbed school buildings looks like.  Wonder how long they plan on being based there, or if this is a significant transition step for the medium term.  That other logo we can see is City Football Schools. http://www.cityfootballschools.com/  Interesting the pic they used for the Melbourne location was of Melbourne Heart last year. You would think they would have had enough time to airbrush that history away by now Edited February 25, 2015 by Heart_fan

CALZALOL
Hopefully we can host some friendlies during preseason there, with a supporters bus or two running from Aami Park due to the fucking terrible accessibility of it via public transport

Tony999
Does Victory have a purpose built base? I think we should be happy with what we have. Slow progress is evident and although l don't have much expectation for the remainder of the season, l believe next season will be a whole new team with new coaching staff.
