nobody has said it yet but he didnt even travel with the team against Brisbane - something that is pre appalling IMO from a guy that has waltzed into the club and been given the captaincy.

why the fuck would he be made to travel if they knew he wasn't going to be in the matchday squad?

Because he's the captain of a pro football team you fkn deadshit

Full video of today's press conference:

I don't get it, surely this would have been filmed post training session? Now there are rumors of another injury?

That's what I would have thought, so I don't know what's happening. Given that Kewell said 'I'm 100 percent' in the video, I can only guess that this press conference strangely took place before training. Assuming the latest reports are true, of course.

Luckless Melbourne Heart will again be without captain Harry Kewell for the upcoming A-League clash with Western Sydney after he twisted an ankle in training.

The injury occurred in the dying stages of Heart's training session on Wednesday.

Kewell was immediately taken for scans which confirmed a further lay-off was required.

The veteran of 60 internationals has only played one match to date for his new club, suffering whiplash in the opening-round draw against Melbourne Victory.

Having overcome the neck injury, the 35-year-old Kewell was set to return for Friday night's clash with the Wanderers, before suffering the latest setback.

Mfootball confirmed that the press conference took place before training

Heart have now confirmed that Kewell 'fell awkwardly' and twisted his right ankle, and he'll be out for 2 weeks. However, scans showed there's no structural damage (http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/melbourneheart/news-display/Kewell-sidelined-with-twisted-ankle/77888).
