  1. But, we can't drop Williams, we don't want to disappoint those coming out specifically to "see the stars collide"... This nifty advertising campaign is bringing them in!!!!
  2. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-11-06/luckless-kewell-ruled-out-again/5073998 Things just keep getting better!
  3. That would mean they would actually have to cover a story about Melbourne Heart!
  4. I've seen this Hammy theory for Kewell a fair bit on the forum and not too sure how true it is, Whiplash can be pretty serious though! http://www.webmd.com/back-pain/neck-strain-whiplash
  5. Postecoglou did not want him at Victory. Hmmm..wonder what has osieck's sacking and Postecogolou's appointment meant for Kewell's World Cup chances? And Harry's commitment to play the season out...? I'll admit it doesn't look great at first, but at the same time it might be exactly what Harry needs to fire him up and tear the competition apart if he wants another World Cup berth badly enough. Great observation on this topic. So far his first game wasn't too bad, the creativity is still there. Apart from that I must admit his entry into the team has been a little bit underwhelming, early days though to be fair!! Being one of the best players in the derby was a pretty good start if you ask me. You're right, i think it's always disappointing when a key player is injured though.
  6. Naw poor baby has to get on a plane to Perth with whiplash. Fucking joke. Whiplash ffs? Seriously? This club is fucked. The problem may not be muscular but neurological. The spinal cord is encased by bone and the nerves exit the cord through bony canals. If they are traumatised, they swell (like any tissue) but then start to compress as they reach the limits imposed by the boney walls. This can cause pain and numbness, often in arms or legs. If the neck muscles swell they can also compress the nerves in the brachial plexus of nerves that run out of your neck into your arms. It takes time for the swelling to subside, and there are clear risks in aggravating it. No 34 year player is going to play an uninterrupted season in any case, so if it wasn't this it would be something else. Good point!
  7. The problem though with AFL though is they hardly ever go to uni and study. They do a 3 year degree over roughly 6+ years. AFL players are also on a much bigger wage that they can afford to juggle study and footy with Footy taking priority. My guess is something more personal is happening here.

  9. I can't wait to see him in action. It's the fire power we need however I think he has gone under the radar a little in the pre-season due to the signup of Kewell. I think he could be a Golden Boot chance.... well I'm hoping anyway!
  10. Hey dudes, I've created this wallpaper for the new season, feel free to use and share. If you have any requests drop me a message. Thanks!
