KD.
Nothing beats standing. Anyway, great to see Jack Watts sign on with the Dees until 2016! And has also said he will be playing in the midfield a lot more And tbh: I think Paul Roos is the only reason why he is staying Edited September 24, 2013 by Demon_Heart

TBF Prismall turned out to be no real loss from what I saw of him the two times he played against Port Melbourne, Sydney poaching Mummy with their Extra Bounty Cash on the other hand. cadete
Very sad Heater's leaving I really hope he doesn't come to Geelong, don't need his personality around the younger players coming through or him taking games of Guthrie who looks better each and every week. However if he did come I would obv give him my support - but it seems unlikely to happen anyway.
marteaux
Guthrie looked very good against Hawthorn, how old is he? Whichever club Heater goes to will be lucky to have him. I'm hoping he goes to GWS and we get some quality youngins for him.
Nate
Would have Crameri at Carlton as he's single-handedly destroyed us on multiple occasions but he looks set to go to the Dogs.

Not like he's been our leading goal-kicking for the past two years..... Quite clearly he was our best foward, doggies got a real good player. Hoping dal santo comes though

Happy to poach players like Prismall and Goddard even when they were required players. But when someone wants to leave the dons..... How so? The saints quite clearly wanted goddard out to play youth and we got prismall off the back of an acl surgery so i don't know how that is similar to crameri's situation where we offered him a fair deal and a chance to play in a team that will make finals compared to a team which is still 2-3 years from making them. HeartinHobart
In terms of Prismall I guarantee Geelong still wanted him when he did his ACL. He was a 22 yr old promising midfielder who was playing one of his best games in a Qualifying Final. But Essendon were cashed up with a longish contract. He wasn't put up as trade bait. It was him who requested a move. So I see a lot of similarities to the Crameri situation. Also if you don't like the idea of players leaving for more money or oppurtunity. It may be a good idea to stop following the AFL. It's just going to increase in the coming years.

He was only ever seen as a shane savage type of player: a good player but never a consistent afl starter unless someone went down. Totally different from Crameri who with Hurley were our two first choice fowards. Crameri was keeping Joe Danihier (would've been the number 1 pick in last years draft) and gumbleton (has an injury history, but a number 2 pick) out of the team. He was not starved of oppurtunity like Brent. Also if you don't like the idea of players leaving for more money or oppurtunity. It may be a good idea to stop following the AFL. It's just going to increase in the coming years. Stupid comment. I'm quite entitled to be pissed off when a player i believe has been quite well treated by essendon leaves on the basis of an extra 700k and an extra year on his contract. He has pissed away any chances now of playing in a final. Fuck him
HeartinHobart
Your a hypocrite. Prismall had a contract offered from Geelong. As I said before he left for more money and an extended contract. The same reasons for Crameri leaving. He was 22 and just got into our best 22. Hence why he was playing in a qualifying final. Also he played 25 games at Geelong not 21!

I have to disagree with this because of the articles i have been able to pull up on the net he left because he was not getting enough playing time, not because of money and extended contract: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brent_Prismall I don't believe your lying to me, and wikipedia is not always right, but to me thats why he left, that is why i cannot relate him to crameri leaving. Eddie Betts is in a similar boat at the moment, he wants 600k a season (which he's not worth, and we can't fit it into our salary cap) so if he doesn't want to be at the club then I don't want him! The dogs fans here know I have nothing but good will for them... But it has to be said winning your last six or seven games of a Season when a lot other sides have put the cue back in the rack can be a very deceiving form line for the next season. Richmond supporters used to fall for this trap a lot in 2000’s and Peter Schwab fell heavily for it when he declared of the backend of the season previous that the Hawks could win the flag in 2004. hedaik
Suban was close to BOG (or was?) when we played in the wet against the Camrys earlier on in the year. Likes to throw himself into packs and is bit of a working class type player whose type is more effective in the wet. MaliMate
Got Mayne @ $81 amongst others I took before the Finals started. Fyfe & Barlow both good results for me as well. Mitchell & Hodge I both backed but are less favorable for me. Pretty much have a guaranteed profit now Inb4 Cam Sutcliffe or someone more unsuspecting gets the medal. cadete
I can't go past Fyfe. The kids a gun and his only going to get better - He used to spend his weekends as a school kid with my brother making underage bets on the horses at Ascot. So his pretty much like his uncle: Mark "Toby" Bairstow who was also a Champion Footballer with a love for the horses that has seen him now become a Horse Trainer. I often wish their was a Uncle/Nephew rule in theAFL.
