Don't understand the anti-Davidson chorus. He missed some matches in the middle of the season, but he's playing regularly again in the Eredivisie for Groningen, who finished 8th and are currently in the play-offs for a place in the Europa League. Surely better than both Rose and Muscat, who were both rejects from their previous A-League clubs?4 points

I definitely disagree there, although its definitely an opinions game tbf. I will say that the fact we've not really ever had good fullbacks is probably more to do with our system under JVS and Bambi than it does with our cattle. Franjic has gone from Socceroo to meh in his time with us for example, and plenty have had much better seasons after leaving.3 points

I've done this to death here before, but Zullo and Garrucio were bog average for us as full backs. Rose showed more than both of them in our colours. Obv both had great seasons when they left and good luck to them, but when the decision was there to be made both had been given ample opportunity to cement their spot and failed, and whilst i would have kept Zullo on the basis of potential and if he could get a good injury free run at it, I def wouldn't have given him the pay rise that Sydney offered him and ultimately, he took.3 points

I must say I hope this isn't true because I quite like my username and changing the colour of the seats would make it completely irrelevant...3 points

If I was a mod that would have been instant ban city for crude racism. Think jw is being more than lenient.2 points

Albo??? Is he cranking through the gears as they come down the hill at Caulfield??? I cant see him losing an election against Turnbull TBH, not that I think Shorten would be losing either ATM... and I do think Shorten is a lot better than what he looks like on TV. Mind you I think in hindsight Albo could have won the last election.2 points

Exactly. We need a respected, imposing, and enforcer-type coach for 3 years who can get everyone on board within the first month or so and cull all the primadonnas and managerial team/players not suited. He needs to smash the JVS culture to bits and eliminate anyone who doesn't want to do the same.2 points

There's plenty about our game that can be attributed to the average coaching we've had to be honest. Look at our team this season... Perfect 4-3-3 style players... good fluid football with a quick counter attack... What did we play? slow build up play that was so slow I think you could have got a random from a retirement village to walk from end to end faster then we got the ball there2 points

He didn't even watch training most of the time. He just did office work and then got his assistants to update him on how coaching went at the end of the day.1 point

We could have won 6 straight league titles with the most easy going, egoless side ever and Scott Miller would still be sn awful choice for any club woth ambition...1 point

I agree with Niko he looked to me to be a bit at sea with the game but maybe the opposition made it that way. He did make some good passes later in the game but the forwards did not take advantage .1 point

This is creepy. I was making this exact same argument last night to a mate. We were even debating the exact same name.1 point

Absolutely right. That's why it is critical that our first signing should be our new manager before we start loading up the squad with players who may very well not fit what he wants to do.1 point

I'm not a Davidson fan at all but I feel like he'd be a pretty decent LB at this level.1 point

Tbf its prob not such a big issue in the metro areas. The country areas are pretty worked up about it though, its essentially a union cash grab and an override of the volunteer system that has stood for decades. Basically taking the power away from volunteers to make decisions, but what the unions dont seem to grasp is if they piss off the volunteers who are doing it for nothing, when a big bushfire comes around they will find themselves seriously under resourced. Not to mention the cost to the government of fire services has just risen exponentially, at a time where we need to be saving more and spending less.1 point

Do people actually care about this other than it being an issue that they can sink the boot into Labor for? My dad was going on about how he's a union lackie etc but couldn't explain what is actually wrong with the changes. I suspect he's no different to most Herald Sun readers. (Not saying I know either as I don't care)1 point

if we werent in such shit and in desperate need of someone to overhaul the egos i would want scott miller to come in. i thought he showed immense promise at newcastle. good signings. good shape to his team. stood up to the owner and got the boot. i would like one of the only 10 a league jobs to go to an australian. but there are not many great options right now. i really dont want to get some used up english football hack. it will be so dissapointing if pardew or keane or someone like hodgson comes in. also http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/article/2017/05/16/melbourne-city-proved-you-cant-manufacture-greatness-so-whats-next1 point

I call bullshit too, unless the poster provides some basis for his assertion. But it's not impossible, because if CFG offered enough to take a long-term lease over (be the operator of) the stadium, why would the current management refuse? This is what CFG does in Manchester - the stadium is owned by the City of Manchester but operated by Manchester City FC. When do the naming rights come up for grabs again?1 point

I'm with the SJW's on this one. If I see blacks and asians wearing western suits it offends me. Blacks should be wearing animals skins and asians should only wear those fung fu weird collar ones with the massive sleeves.1 point

If it were all GA they certainly would. Completely under cover for starters. The front rows of Level 3 are superb viewing and better than the front Level 1 Premium A and B seats.1 point
