Signed by Smurfs confirms he had a move lined up. Also watch him become a starting player and become a Socceroo.4 points

I, for one, would like to wish Paulo all the very best for the future. IMO he always acquitted himself well when he was in a City shirt in whatever role he was called on to play. Full-back or midfield - didn't matter. Always gave his best for us. Every club needs reliable "squad" players like him - I'll be interested to see how he's replaced.3 points

Great move for Paulo but it really hurts to see one of our boys at Scum FC. i reckon he will do well there and surprise a few on this forum2 points

I think we would have been quite comfortable in keeping Retre, but when a player that isnt getting much opportunity wants to leave, its in the clubs best interest to let them leave rather than creating bad blood imo. It makes it a) easier to get a player back when the time is right and b ) easier to recruit other players when they dont think you are going to screw them over a career move at some point in the future. And lets be honest, only a serious injury crisis would see him break into anything other than a bit part player whereas at Sydney he'll get opportunity due to ACL and squad rotation. As for signings that havent happened yet, sure they might not have, but the positions 100% will be filled. There is zero chance of the club not filling its marquee and visa spots, and the sides that are being posted are speculative and realistic anyway, not pie in the sky type stuff.2 points

Be honest with yourselves and realistic. None of this pages of crap, that you wont be buying a membership unless we win everything next season, which is the usual around here. Out of transperency I voted Championship + ACL until more is made about the premiership.... Championship > Premiership IMO1 point

FFA should be more flexible and just have 3 Marquees even if the 3rd one is just for Australian/Asian Players.1 point

Still need to see exactly how the squad is filled out, but for me I'd accept an begrudgingly accept an ACL berth as a pass mark, but would be aiming for some kind of silverware to go with it.1 point
-
That is an easy answer - Premiership + ACL berth is a must.1 point
-
Imo none of the above for a pass : for mine its ACL and a trophy. You'd hope we are at very last still in the race for the premiership with a couple weeks to go.1 point

Shouldnt be such a debated issue. The kid does a test, if he/she is too slow they go into the special Ed department (that's why the government pays millions to schools) and if they pass they can attend a regular class. But I do agree to an extent of Pauline-PantsDown. Obviously in high school there's no issue as subjects are split academic. But in Primary school I remember classes being disrupted from the autistic kid and the adhd kid throwing chairs at each other. One time a kid's dad came into the class and choked slammed the adhd kid for bulling his kid.1 point

TTDIM :Watching the pc brigade overreact to the smallest things. Case in point: what Pauline Hanson said today about autistic children in classrooms. FWIW I honestly don't have a problem with what she said, but watching social media go into meltdown over it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Do these people just get offended about anything these days?1 point

You literally have the best euthanasia setup. When you're 85 and over shitting your pants, smash half a dozen viagra's, eat 3 kilos of fried bacon and as your turning into a human balloon, fuck the dirtiest hooker you can find till you drop dead.1 point

Grew up on cured pork meats then about four years ago I developed an allergy to pork. Went into anaphalactic shock - in which case you won't have to commit suicide, just don't call an ambulance. Nice way to go if you don't panic.1 point
-
Of course it does. So do a lot of teams that include four starting players who haven't been signed yet and may never be.1 point

IMO we'll regret losing Retre. Arnold sees him as a useful signing for a title defence and for the ACL and we're prepared to let him go - concerns me a bit. I know it's early days (or is it?) but we seem to be pinning a lot of the Forum's hopes for next season on signings that haven't happened yet1 point

Well theres sites like valuedopinions.com.au where you get paid roughly $2 for a 15 min survey, I just do surveys on the couch while the missus is watchign reality shit on TV, I probably make about $20-$40 a week from them (fuck all to some, but its easy pocket money, especially with my gambling arb'ing added). Quite often the surveys I do you'll see the results pop up in the news a few weeks later. But the good ones are the in person focus groups (Farron Research) where you get paid $100 or so for an hour just to talk shit. Ive only done one as the times dont really suit me, but it was just an hour of a guy researching on behalf of Nissan asking about my car purchase and why I chose Nissan.1 point

How do I get in on this? In b4 TeslaFocueGroupBot doing 100 focus groups a day.1 point

FFS. He's a Lancashire lad, born in Oldham. It'll take a lot more than some wussy journo to put him under the pump.1 point

Cant really see troisi on the wing permanently. particularly on the right as a left footer. Alternately if we sign troisi as our central creative midfielder we are giving up our title aspirations. He is not good enough to take a team through an entire season, let alone through the season and win anything. also tongyik is overated and good is worse than herd or williams when it come to injuries. I would consider good and troisi as massive signing fails. does troisi stack up against ninkovic? no fkn way.1 point

Yes please. Would def take Jamo. If we can cover the lb position with an aussie that's decent, its a massive get. Using the 5th visa on a winger or mid could be game charging1 point

I think he meas Ian McNamara of "Australia All Over." http://www.theaustralian.com.au/life/weekend-australian-magazine/macca-all-over/news-story/520e26c9e49b8ab9a92d6b1085215958 They've held the "Monster Trucks" thing for the past 3 years or so. It doesn't seem to affect the pitch at all. They cover the whole thing with plastic and sand etc. and then remove it all afterwards. I don't think we've started with a home match since Season 1 when we started the season with Heart vs. Central Coast. IIRC we haven't had too many seasons where we've finished with a home match either.1 point

Oh, come on Bela, man up laddie, man up. You're a boring old fart on here, but we need you. You can't bale out now. What are you going to do when we sweep all before us and coast into the ACL? You'll wish you had been a part of it all along. It's a life sentence, man, a life sentence. Get yourself a couple of City Blue seats high up under cover at the Southern End and be done with it. You know you really want to...1 point

So. all these so called rusted on fans are disappearing all of a sudden. The rusted on coat must have fallen of to reveal the true fair weather fan, honestly some of you people really need a reality check. This is NOT the premier league or the SreieA or the La Liga for goodness sake get behind your club and the new manager , give them all the true support they need and if things do not change then i am sure that CFG will do something about it, so stop all this doom and gloom .1 point
