Only reason I don't have a membership is coz I don't have anyone to go to games with regularly and when I do I'm too fkn busy.

I go by myself cos I don't really have any friends. I like the company of other people when I get to Yarraside. They make me forget my troubles at home.

i bought a membership season one by myself... went to the games by myself and stood with the yarraside... happy to say it was one of the best decisions of my life... and made a lot of friends along the way... gone on away trips with the lads and everything...

don't let that hold you back... yarraside is your family... it's time for you to come home!

decided against waiting for the 5 game memberships and brought a few season passes. For the price paid, if i find they offer 5 game passes for $100 i will not be happy!

I must admit that it a rip off to charge over $500 to sit on the half way line. At least we don't play at the docklands. That place does not have a single good viewing seat amongst the 50,000 available.

Nice to see the heart membership department emailing us temp barcode passes rather than making us line up to pick up our day tickets. Nice move.

Good to hear you got a membership mate.

Rather than look at paying full price as a rip off, maybe look at it as an investment in your club ;)

Very surprised you bought a membership considering your earlier posts. But well done.

I never said I wouldn't purchase a membership, at the time I couldn't justify the prices charged.

I still don't agree on the administration and it's running, but that will never mean I have lost supporting my team. I still think the club can do the basics substantially better. But hopefully my few memberships will help elevate future problems.

Good point.

Here's the other thing...the slogan: "Help Us Get a Full House".

I'm sure all of us hear the comments made on at school/Uni/social media (particularly from Victory supporters) about our low crowds at AAMI. Why, oh why would you use that slogan?? It just gives them further ammunition.

Something needs to be done. I agree with Willo in that its not about pointing fingers but why did the club hire a Membership Manager who is only new to the country. New to football let alone who or what the A-League is and tensions between MH & MV.

Even the pre-season slogan "Our Backyard" with an empty stadium. WHo is this guy working for??? Amateurism. In my view, its turning people away.

I agree. Some massive issues at play here.

They are offering it in the holidays because that is an ideal time to "do something with the kids"

As for the tag line, I dont think its great but meh. Could be worse.

I think i'd rather go on vacation with the kids, as i'm sure most of the families will. Having it at the start of the season, you get to wet your appetite and hopefully just buy out a season long membership if you enjoy it. Having it towards the finals, you get to cheer on the team and the juiciest games are on the cards with final spots up for grabs and whatnot. They've ballsed it up i reckon. The fact they're doing it 2 seasons in a row around same time i belive (?) perhaps suggest last years experiment worked or they just making the same error.

To re-launch it 4 home games into the season says something doesn't it?

Says what?

It's always done at this time, It's just last season it appeared later due to the 6 games away in a row.

It's designed to come out after the first 3 Home games so people will buy the first 5 game membership, then extend out the rest of the season buying another 5 game membership for the final 5

Agree with this.

There is very little wrong with the timing of this.

I perhaps might have suggested one game later, because there are 2x Perth Glory games included, but otherwise, it's fine.

The summer period is a perfect time for the target market (families with young kids) to get to games, and our games are mostly two weeks apart, so if they were away on holiday, theoretically they wouldn't miss more than one game.

At least it's not $100 for 5 games, premium A seats.

No it isn't. But it is still cheaper, per game, than the cost per game for a full Premium B membership.

And as I recall it, pretty much everyone on here agreed that this should not happen because it devalues a full membership.

I just think that in the end this will backfire. Casual 'supporters' will get used to the idea that there will be specials like this, and come only when there are. And members won't bother with either Premium A or B memberships, just buy a GA membership and again wait for the specials to come along and upgrade if they want to - especially in the drier months.

I've been trying to get a few of my mates to follow the heart and I've finally convinced them to sign up with me as members. I emailed the club this morning asking a few questions and I'm still yet to get a response. Pretty annoying because if they actually responded they would have 4-6 new members by the end of today, anyone else have similar difficulties?

Page 18 of this season's membership brochure has (presumably for membership enquiries) an e-mail address of membership@melbourneheartfc.com.au and a telephone number 9555-9959.

Surely one or other of these still works?

Yeah I used that email when I sent the email. I'll have to give them a buzz in the next couple of days. Still pretty piss poor considering we are actually desperate for new members

Sadly I had much the same experience last season when I found a membership card outside AAMI Park and tried to return it to the member via the club. No-one at Heart HQ was interested and I never was called back so that I could contact the member concerned. Which was disappointing - up to then I'd found the club pretty helpful.
