Tesla
Why stop at protests? What about grocery shopping? or exercising? Or if they are at the library and reading a book for pleasure? People on the dole should be forced to sit in a room pumping out job applications non-stop between the hours of 9 to 5 and students should have knowledge continuously crammed into them all day like when Alex is forced to watch films on A Clockwork OrangeJust 9 to 5? This isn't Greece, who works only 9 to 5 in Australia? 8am to 8pm on weekdays and 9am until 1pm on Saturdays. No overtime job searching, no payment. Shahanga
In 2008 to celebrate 100 years of Rugby League, "they" named a Queensland team of the century. In that side Allan "Alfie" Langer was named halfback. It is my contention that, amazing player that he was, this was the wrong choice.Duncan Thompson should have been chosen instead. Thompson wS a star of the 20s and 30s and was no doubt disadvantaged by the passage of time. The amazing thing about Thompson is that every team he played for won. I mean EVEN north Sydney won their only premierships when he was there. Aside from the state of origin era, his was the only era that Queensland beat NSW consistently (including 11 out of 12 in fact) & Toowoomba won the bulimba cup (over Ipswich & Brisbane). My granddad (a handy player himself) swore he was the greatest player he ever saw.

A mate at work is from QLD and a massive Broncos/Maroons fan and was having his Bucks night a year or so again...Anyway Alfie was in the same pub that his bucks was at up there so they got him to pose for photos... long story cut short four hours later they could still not get rid of a blind Alfie Langer who for some reason had joined their Pub Crawl.

Tesla
UOTYH: Consoles are dead. Can honestly say my ps4 is the worst purchase of my life, had it for about a year and barely played it. 95% of the usage of my ps4 is just for Foxtel Play, but it's not like there arent other ways of running it if I didn't have a ps4.It just doesn't make sense in 2015. Anyone serious about gaming always knew PC is better, but the edge wasn't large and things like the larger mainstream appeal of console gaming kept it viable. But Steam have really killed it, especially over the last few years. Prices for games are so much cheaper, since you can buy a Steam key for a game from 23489023745234 different places, way more competition than buying console games, so you can buy a game for $30 that is $80 on console. Fuck paying $80 for a game TBH. But the big change was the move to 'early access' games and then Steam greenlight, indie games were completely resurrected overnight. Honestly I'm not that interested in AAA games, often indie games are more fun and cheaper, and you just don't have anywhere near the level of indie games on console. Then the other big move was Steam pushing linux as a gaming OS. I have no idea what inducements they offered to developers, but whatever it has worked, and if it continues linux will start taking market share from Windows really quickly. It means less expensive hardware is needed, and has made PC gaming even more economically attractive than consoles.I reckon that's why Microsoft actually tried to make a console for the future with the Xbox one.I think the original idea for the Xbox One would have kept console gaming alive for a bit longer, and delayed Microsoft getting raped on the PC OS market, but all the nostalgic morons complaining forced Microsoft's hand to make the same old console as always and that was the nail in the coffin for console gaming TBH.Anyway, point is:1. you can make a small form factor PC smaller than a console2. you can buy controllers for it if you prefer to play with controllers instead of keyboard/mouse3. initial build may be a bit more but you only need to buy like 3 games and the cost difference is already made up4. More games available and cheaper5. Can spend however much you want really, and can spend less initially and upgrade later6. Can do other shit with it, can make a far better 'media centre' than what ps4/x1 offer for example.7. Steam is better than any multiplayer system ps4/X1 have, and it doesn't cost anything. Plus you also have shit like teamspeak etc which is better tha nanything consoles offer8. More customisable, can use whatever keyboard, mouse, headset, controller, whatever the fuck you want really, and they're cheaper than accessories for consoles.Probably a bunch of other stuff but I can't think.Only thing that console gaming has left is exclusive titles, but as it dies off no one is going to make their games exclusive to a platform with fuck all customers. The other thing is console gaming still has a bit more mainstream appeal, but I just don't see it lasting, too many entrainment options these days, if you're a casual gamer you're probably going to switch to a different entertainment option, if you actually enjoy gaming you'll move to PC. I am not into Gaming really at all and basically the only Modern Games I play are Fifa and Horse Racing stuff from Japan if companies decide to translate titles for a Western Market but I have also came to the same conclusion on what is the point to getting a PS4/Xbox One as well. The incentive is just not there to pay the money... ESP when I already have Tbox, Apple TV and a PS3 that I spend half my time playing a couple Classic PS1 games from my childhood if I am ever so bored I decided to play a Video Game. They are just very Japanese and have a lot of annoying Pokemon Storyline Dialogue that you have skip through and the music throughout the game is really horrendous. I have it on PS3 (As a PS2 game) and I did have it on Wii where you used the controller as a whip in one hand and the smaller controller as the reins. The genre is actually on the rise in Asia so better titles will eventually come out.

Popular Post Tesla
UOTYH 1: Terrorism isn't that big a deal. Don't get me wrong, I understand it scares people that mass deaths can occur so instantly and with no way of stopping it, but in many ways the fear is irrational. The chances of you or someone you know dying due to terrorism is tiny. There are many many things that will kill you first. Honestly you might as well just lock yourself in your room and not step out, but then again mould has probably killed more people in Melbourne (or even Australia) than terrorists so you're still fucked. Basically you might as well just kill yourself if you're going to be afraid of such improbabilities (that's another thing you're way more likely to die of, suicide). Worst of all is this shit always leads to some more retarded nanny state laws coming into affect. UOTYH 2: While I'm sure most people prefer innocent people wherever they live to not die at the hands of terrorists, it's 100% normal and fine to care a lot more about terrorist attacks in other Western countries than in Beirut or Pakistan. People look at the attacks in Paris and think "Oh shit if that can happen in Paris it can happen here", hence they care since it affects their lives, some terrorist attack in Beirut or Pakistan doesn't really affect their lives so they don't care much. I don't see the problem? This whole "what about Beirut" thing is some fucked up logic.
