After he leaves then. Just got to remember to bring cash next time. Had massive lines to use card and could just walk up and pay cash at beginning of second half. Also Carlton Draught can fuck off. Worst Victorian beer by far.

Well youll be pleased to know you wont have to drink it Saturday night and they'll be serving Midstrength

Didn't get tickets in time so I'll be drinking 7% ipa's and eating a Parma at a pub somewhere. Honestly would rather drink three mid strengths than one Carlton draught though!

What's with Briabane's huge increase?

Are Newcastle still doing really cheap memberships with the owner/financial problems, maybe that explains their decrease?

In other news our memberships are up to 10145

IMO we over-emphasise "memberships." "Membership" as I understand it means that you have some sort of formal say in the affairs of the organization of which you are a member. We have no formal say in the affairs of Melbourne City whatsoever. We are season-ticket holders and nothing more.

I have no doubt that if we had better results in our first 3 games our membership would be near 12k... I have been approached by at least 10 people from work asking me about the A-league and Melbourne City FC in particular off the back of the Darby. For most sporting followers on the outer looking in still feel that we are a new club and have asked lots of questions about D. Villa... It's been amazing how many people are having conversations about football...

I'm doing my best to promote our club but the players and coach need to start performing ... If we do I predict that by next Darby we will have 15k members...

Great point. We don't buy a membership - we buy a seasons pass to the game.  THAT IS ALL!!!

Its like buying a "membership" to a gym.  we dont buy memberships to a gym - we buy a reduced rate session pass. ie - buy 10 sessions and receive 2 free

If we buy a membership - why do we have no say? In that case, were not really members.

The things that holds football back in this country is the quality of the players, and the quality of the games.  Its not that there aren't fans out there.

Our club is the classic case in point.  Poor players, poor coaches, poor on field performances result in poor attendances.
