Kiro Kompiro
if theres any truth to the rumour, it won't be Postecoglou wanting him. Â Barton told Shearer he's a shit manager with shit tactics, Postecoglou won't risk having his authority challenged. Â wonder what he think of Aloisi's coaching. Â Seriously do we want a guy who repeatedly has spent time in jail, for things like beating up a team mate at training?

Look what happened to another young and better credentialed coach at Chelsea when AVB tried to impose his authority on a dressing room full of senior players who knew everything about football. Â The guy is an out-and-out thug and a self-opinionated moron. Do people seriously think that taking on a player like Barton sits with a club that has made a point of being community oriented as MHFC has done? Do people seriously think that our sponsors want someone like Barton in the squad? That parents want someone like Barton as a potential role model if their lads have the chance to attend the Heart football academy? Â No way. belaguttman
What's even funnier is that some Heart fans don't want him. I think that he'd play well on the pitch except when he (frequently) got red carded, and he'd likely be a destabilising influence on the team. Apart from that I've nothing against him

belaguttman
Joseph Barton is the embodiment of everything our team has lacked since inception. yes, true, except he also comes with the circus factor, the inappropriate aggro, the poor impulsive behaviour on and off the field. These are also things that our club has mercifully lacked. If you could find a Joey Barton without the profound liabilities then I'd be all for it. Petercrouch
fills the engelaar void, brings attitude to the team as its been lacking, brings aggression and desire on the pitch, is a handy player who could realistically play anywhere in the middle 5 (presuming we go on with this 4-2-3-1), will hack the fuck out of anyone in his way. considering he helped, and did help Marseille get to champions league last year, he has all the makings of a player we need and should want. all for the profound liabilities, it gives us an identity, a cult hero & a true leader which we could use tbh....

HEARTinator
Barton and Ljubo threads provide comic relief to fans suffering a long off season and then having our marquee man cut down in his prime even before he can land one late tackle on Archie. mus-28
Not sure why this thread is still going. Redknapp wants to keep him at QPR and his value is about double the amount we couldn't afford for Grant Holt.

Shahanga
Joey'd make a fascinating pschological study. I think he's a pretty smart fella actually, plus a good footballer.  Only problem is he can't seem to control himself. A classic case is this clip,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGuIJ4Sef0Y  where he, outrageously and inexplicitedly, fails to headbutt Kompany.
Huzie
Went to the QPR v Brighton game today, Barton is quality, works so hard on and off the ball. Got a yellow got mouthing off but should of got a red when he was on goal and got pulled up for hand ball (no where near) instead he bit his toung and carried on. Next year maybe!
