Peter
Two home games v Sydney on top of the two derbies is a good thing for attendances. Assuming ADP maintains fitness and form and we compliment him with a crowd drawing marquee/squad of our own, there should be a buzz around the ground this season. Red or Dead
At least we get to start in Melbourne and finish with a home game after two away matches in Brisbane and Adelaide...that's a lotta flyin'

Deluka
We play Wellington Phoenix on the 27th of December after day two of the Ashes, hopefully the Barmy Army get over to AAMI Park. Would have preferred us to be hosting Newcastle or Sydney on that day to get a bigger crowd from the travelling cricket fans

Yeah, 2 home games against Sydney, Victory and West Sydney, with all the Friday night games as well, this is as good as we could hope for. Now we just need to win some of these games. Absolutly wrapt, by far our best fixture yet. - 15 out of 27 in Melb (VIC) (including Derby, riegonal game v Perth) - 2 home games against Victory, Sydney, WS, CCM and Wellington. - 2 games in Adelaide on Friday and Sat #Awaydays - Just 1 trip to the cake tin (Y) Negs: - Play Brisbane only once at home, usually a lock for 3 points in the bag, - Play Perth on the road 3 times (inc. TBC game), - 6 away games on a Sunday, makes it hard to travel. - A few consecutive Sundays at home later in the season, but it's the clubs responcibility to be well placed and drawing people in by then.. cadete
Def our best fixture yet, Esp in regards to Home Matches, The FFA is really giving is us a solid chop out here: Maybe this is what Sidwell, Munn and Co have been working on when many posters claimed nothing was happening at the club. Edit - Pls let the regional game be at Sleepy Hollow (Geelong). Edited May 22, 2013 by cadete

xXJawsaXx
Awesome fixture, best we've had. The friday night games have the potential to attract people to games. Especially if we do well this season, they'll watch on tv, be drawn in by the atmosphere etc, and have the incentive to watch games live. Haha, plus the Melbourne to Albury line is more often than not delayed by up to an hour or more. Should get a solid crowd though and hopefully more members, I know a lot of people in the area who are big football fans but don't go to A-League games so hopefully this will help to convince them

heart_fan10
We need to sign some quality players, and we really need to make sure that this season is our best season we've had as a club so far. We haven't capitalized on certain opportunities in our first 3 seasons, and this must change now. I have a good feeling about this after hearing what Scott Munn has said about player signings and our marquee. Last season was probably the wake up call that the club needed
Deluka
Just having a bit of a think...last season we hosted Wellington in round 2 and had the VPL Grand Final played after it which helped our attendance. Since the fixture has been delayed a week that weekend will now have the Melbourne Victory hosting us at Etihad (unlikely to have the VPL Grand FInal prior). So, providing the VPL fixture runs the corresponding weekends as last year, it looks like we can't repeat that double header which i thought was a great initiative

soxrow
Great fixture, if the regional game is Albury so be it. I think lots of Friday nights will help, I know lots of families with kids will struggle, but there will be lots of games in Summer Holidays. Bit bummed about missing the 27th Dec game (Christmas in NSW), but an approach could be made to the Barmy Army to come over (English people aren't that fond of Kiwis from what I know). Now which away trips, thinking possibly Perth and/or Central Coast. Bring on Round 1 and Johnny, get some signings done STAT!

Herman Cain
Is there any reason to think the Albury game is us and not WSW/Sydney? It isn't even in Victoria, and most of the other info on that screenshot is about NSW.

It isn't even in Victoria, and most of the other info on that screenshot is about NSW. Well firstly, Albury's closer to Melbourne than Sydney is by about 250km and secondly, Heart have been to the Albury/Wodonga region before and even played a pre-season game against the best players in the local league a couple of years ago so my bet would be us. It'd be the TBC game vs Perth, right?
