  1. Don't know him. Is this an improvement on Rojas?
  2. Why do they keep changing the starting time. It's hard enough to go to start with without missing part of the game. Oh, commercial imperatives.
  3. In my phone my calendar e-cal shows it scheduled for 7:30 pm so it appears that it has since been changed. Without Jovan I could have arrived too late for the game. Hope all those thinking about going know of the change. .
  4. Attendance 6,679. Club is going backwards and it won't get any better with this lacklustre display.
  5. Where's my invitation. Oh, wait a minute - I'm already a member.
  6. And yet.... Manchester City's parent company, City Football Group (CFG), has agreed a deal to buy a majority stake in Indian Super League side Mumbai City FC.
  7. You are right, there are lots of things the club could do to increase the entertainment value and to make supporters feel included and part of the club. I have always argued for some better half time activities. However I am sure that you like me and others have found that any suggestions put forward get no response. It's almost like they have an attitude of "my way or the highway".
  8. He has always been a worry. Takes some stupid risks, particularly his penchant for taking on an attacking forward in dribbling.
  9. Active support is very, very high on the list of "what makes a great game day experience". With this in mind I sent the following email to the club after our first home game on 20th October that contained the following "..... what a great game experience it was. This was certainly better than what I have suffered for the last two years. It was helped by the win of course but was also due to the much more attacking style of football. The entertainment was also a credit to the City Terrace boys. I do not belong to them (a little past that sort of thing) but they are an asset that should be nurtured and I would hope that the club does all they can to embrace them - maybe a regular meeting with them at Bundoora. From what it would seem the new club Western United are very committed to their supporter group and have visibly engaged with them." Guess what - no response However, keep it up Terrace. We love you.
  10. Actually not a silly point. The exact location of the stations has not yet been decided on. As you say, start planning the location for a stadium and lobby the government for the station close by - maybe CFG can offer a sweetener. Would make it very easy to get to for a lot of people - including those in the South East eg Cheltenham!
  11. One hates to do the comparison thing but in contrast the AFL have been steadily increasing their membership. From 803,850 in 14/15 season to 1,057,572 last season - so you cannot say interest in sport has declined.
  12. After exhortations from JW, my wife and I have just bitten the bullet and rejoined. Hoping for a better experience this year. I asked Ryan what the membership was and was told "just shy of 5,500.
  13. If anyone is thinking of voting for Baccus please PM me first. I know of a great psychiatrist.
  14. How have we increased membership after we appear to have had a lot of members cancel their membership.
  15. You mean there is another option?? (to be used with proper intonation)
  16. Interesting article in goal.com https://www.goal.com/en-au/lists/how-much-is-every-a-league-squad-worth/1r6kbryys9ueh173w63cnipcmp According to them the value of each squad is Melbourne Victory. 22.58 mill Sydney 20.66 mill Melbourne City 17.34 mill Perth. 15.5 mill Brisbane 15.03 WSW 13.8 Newcastle 12.47 Wellington 12.1 Adelaide 11.8 CCM 10.65 Makes a mockery of Victorys taunt that we will buy the championship. Also makes an interesting comment on what you can do if you spend wisely (and have the right people in charge) eg Perth and Wellington.
  17. If we continue to produce this boring lacklustre Joyceball football it will interesting to see what the crowd will be at our next home game on March 3rd against Perth. That will really show us where we are at.
  18. Now this is what a manager should be like https://www.football88.com/man-utd-ole-gunnar-solskjaer-rewarded-for-positivity-says-jordi-cruyff/
  19. This situation can't be helpful for Bruno's profile either. His value must be diminished with the long lack of game time.
