Attendance 8,103 at the Adelaide match tonight (21 January). Poor turnout considering it was 4th against 5th. Shame people missed one of the best games by City but, maybe, this will start to attract them.

Don't agree. Masters could have won if they provided a better product. So can we. All we need is entertainment (and winning).

Waste of time. Very poor turn out. Wazza and player interviews were pathetic. Childish questions to the players. None of the questions we all would have liked - what we are doing, where are we going etc.. No audience involvement. Hate to think what the MC is paid. Impressed with Paddy, good speaker, easy to talk to. Left early, won't be back.

Stick around. With these performances attendances will only get worse. Not only only are we now not attracting new members but the rusted on brigade is flaking off.

5 match offer doesn't seem to have done anything. We have been about 10% down on the same time last year for the last month.

Absobloodylootly. 9091 is a poor attendance. They have an empty stadium. Fill it up with promotional activities - free tickets or prizes to schools, soccer clubs etc. A good crowd means a good and more entertaining atmosphere.

So we are running 10% lower than 21 Oct last year. A bit sad when you are always hoping for a year by year increase. Maybe Wazza can keep the winning streak going and that will reflect in memberships (I know, I know - fair weather supporters)

I know Sydney, Victory and Perth definitely had them à few weeks ago. Haven't checked since.

Hi JW. Where did you find the 10,138 number. A-league.com has 9,838. And how come the club is still not posting the number? They certainly shouldn't be embarrassed with that figure.

But that's a comparison with Level 3 and 4. The Champions league have an average attendances of 20,000 (which is what Huddersfield and our favourite son attract). I am not doom and gloom but am certainly in the camp of disappointment of FFA's promotional abilities.

I gave up on my first attempt as it seemed to keep asking me for a barcode and I wasn't getting anywhere. When I returned I found it very easy although it is completely non intuitive and unclear. All you need to do is put in your barcode once to "unlock the offer" then you keep adding tickets to the shopping basket. Their software is another one of the many badly written ones around.

I was happy with the attendance, yet on Saturday ABC TV news they were calling it one of the lowest crowds for a season opener.

Jw - thanks for the FRG notes. Great to see they are looking at developing the prematch at Gosch's. Stomping Ground and Biggie Smalls should go well. Hope they have looked into providing tables and chairs.

My wife and I got all the stuff EXCEPT the fridge magnet. NOTE The keyring and badge are really squashed inside the scarf. Re the free guest tickets. Took me a while to realise that each voucher is for 2 guests. Not sure if it has to be 2 people for the one game or you can have 1 guest for 2 different games. Will probably find out when I try to redeem them.

Membership number according to a-league.com.au is 8,503. Doesn't look like we will hit 10,000 by the 1st home game.

With our uninspiring signings and lack of any worthwhile news, I am surprised we are even that close to last year's tally.
