  1. My not even mad when Jamo sprays one into row Z, its the little smile at the end that pisses me off. I can understand if you score 1 in 10 of those and you're known for long shots, you smile, kinda saying "almost" or something. At least when Wales misses he looks like he's about to cry. I appreciate that.

  2. Luna looked like a waste of a Visa after the first 5-6 weeks having done pre season with the squad. Susaeta is gonna need at least another month before we start seeing what he can really produce. So far he's had some nice touches and his movement is good, Just needs to get more involved.

  3. Susaeta still looked good considering how the team was playing overall. Lots of little clever link-up play which wasn't rewarded and as mentioned, I liked that he was able to float through the middle and collect the ball when the play demanded it despite being a winger - something we haven't really seen in our squad since Mooy. Obviously Mooy was a central midfielder but he'd often request the ball out wide if that was where the play was, and Susaeta seemed to show glimpses of that playmaker's license and ability. Still needs time to be effective but the early signs are nice. Good engine too.

  4. You do realise we play with two (attacking) midfielders both Luna and Berengeur, they are in exact mirror positions of each other, Luna on the left and Florin on the right. Carbon copy of DeBruyne and Silva at Manchester. The reason you might think we only play with one Number 10 is that unfortunately Berenguer isn’t up to the role and lacks the drive forward. Because he’s floats cluelessly around in midfield makes people think he’s an CM. Yes you are correct he’s human and 3 times the footballer I am. He also earns well in excess of 500k a season and that is 5 times my wage and 2 to 3 times the wage of most players in our team. Criticism on underperforming high earning senior players in this instance is completely justified. I think he’s only here because of Mombaerts and would have been axed in preseason if he wasn’t here.

  5. An empty packet of chips that has floated down from the stand and landed on the pitch would be a massive upgrade on Florin. I’m certainly not saying I want Dario back.

  6. I'm not sure what people expect tbh. Liverpool? Barca? For a 0-0 game, I actually found it very entertaining. I thought the first half hour was very positive with some quick passing really troubling Perth. They then got back into the game as we slowed our movement down. Jamo was a real culprit, so frustrating. But for most part, we were better. Perth are very street wise and hard to break down, especially away. It's quite obvious how to beat them and any team in this league, move it quickly. Thought the longer it went, the more Susaeta grew into it and Hendry was terrific. Luna was great and Atkinson was awesome when he came on. Would've been great to get a win but, I'll take tonight.

  7. Liverpool winning the league is probably the worst thing possible that could happen. It dwarfs what VAR has done.

  8. Did you notice Susaeta was trying to get involved in many things always trying to setup one twos. His runs get missed a lot too. But still looks a little rusty. At one stage in second half he was all over the pitch trying to setup play with teammates. We looked confused as in why aren’t you in your static left wing position.

  10. Overall I don't think posters to the Forum have much to complain about. IMO we moderators only intervene when provoked into doing so. Almost all posters back off when asked to do so - that's my experience anyway.

  11. It's been done to death really. Understand some might see it as an important talking point, but it's approaching 'flares' or 'poor form under Joyce' territory IMO.

  12. That was never going to be a penalty, the ball was handballed to Bruno who was also in offside position. Personally I didn't even see anything wrong with the actual challenge, Flopperoli desperatly throwing himself in front of Brillante to play for a penalty.

  13. Ever since people brought it up I can't help to notice that he is more occupied with winding up and provoking the opposition than leading the team. Who's told him that being captain means you need to be a shitcunt on the pitch?

  14. There was one moment in the 59th minute when we were defending our box and Delbridge was tucked in and Perth a had a man completely free running into the box. Had someone seen the run we would’ve been down 1-0 and Hendry was the only one wise to it and told Delbridge to shift across.

  15. Good is just going to get better and better. If he stays injury free, he will be immense.

  17. Theres a lot of coaches these days that are philosophy first and try to get everything to fit their ideals. Arnie is the opposite and chooses the best tactics based on what he has. The players love him for it and consequently play for the man that backs him. He's comfortably the best Australian coach around when it comes to a national team setup imo. Ange was never going to have the time required to implement his style over the journey for a national team.

  19. What I find very frustrating in those big games is that if Maclaren isn’t being served regularly he’s goes missing often, lacking the football skills to make the most of these very few balls at his feet. The long balls don’t help him at all.

  20. Without knowing Jack (pun intended) about Jack, he can't be worse than Winbichler in terms of output. For whatever reason Windbichler hasn't been able to get onto the pitch and therefore is a confirmed waste of a visa spot. To bring in a 24 year-old with a few international caps (okay Scotland aren't great at the moment) he can't be that shit. So the way I see it, firstly it's great business by CFG to be able to bring in a fringe player from an elite club, which I doubt any other team in our League could do and secondly it clearly shows that in the long term we are learning from our mistakes (Aaron Hughes). Anyone who opposes this loan signing should really take a second look.
