  1. In contrast, Victory only have one..... in 10 years 50% of the NT will be City products

  2. As an England fan, well done Croatia. We could have won it in the first half, but we didn't take our chances. Croatia came out a different team in the second half, worked hard, played as a team, got their tactics right, and took their chances. And they didn't try to win by kicking lumps out of us or throwing themselves to the floor. Croatia did it the right way, so credit and good luck to them. Fully understand how much it means to their supporters.

  3. Usually we've been equal third ish with Sydney. If that overall pattern is maintained and memberships across the league are down then fingers should be pointed at the FFA.

  4. Yes. There's no comparable number from last season (17/18) until 1st September (remember - the daily counter was removed by order of FFA?). The first decent comparisons will come on 17th July when I have numbers from 13/14, 14/15, and 15/16. I won't have 16/17 until 10th August. Agree, it's not wonderful. Our first home match last year was 6th October. I have a number for 12th October of 9386. So 5656 represents a renewal rate of 60%. We'll have to wait and see I think.

  5. Sure does mean a lot. As Craig Foster said, everything's up to shit in Croatia with all the corruptions, EU and politics so football was our only saving grace.

  6. I still think we can do better than have Malik as a starting 11 player. Don't get me wrong, he's been good at times and I'm glad he's in the squad but his forward passing and transition play is still too slow for me. Brattan as the holding mid / deep lying play-maker, McGree box to box, and then Caceras if he's up to it or a Visa 10 if he's not. Supporters complain about slow transition and meaningless sideways passes. If we want to get away from that we need all 3 of our midfielders to want the ball and know what to do with it.

  9. Novillo without the off-field baggage. I would take him. Helluva front line - O'Halloran, Fornaroli, George.

  10. I dont think too many people would have a problem with the FFA being proactive in chasing marquees, however they are making major fuck ups on two fronts; a) stop telling everyone who your targets are, because it looks fucking amateur when the league comes and says we're after you and then you fail. It looks amateur because a league is supposed to be a bigger entity than a single club, and if an entire competition gets outbid by some tin pot club in Japan, you make everyone look pathetic. b ) whilst marquees have some impact around the hype of the league, and attendances and ratings in the short term, the way the FFA carries on about them is like they think its the solution to all their problems. It's not, and give us something a bit more palpable to think that you are actually looking after the long term future of the league and the game here in Aus. As a former (guest) marquee once said, "show me your vision"

  11. Kane might have the most punchable face and voice in the history of humans. Kinda looks like a 17th century child molester with that fkn disgusting nose of his. Ref looked like the geeky kid from school who was too shit to play so he reffed games at lunch time. Got his arse kicked afterwards but always returned coz it beats suicide. Croatia have 3/4 players that look like the victims of some sort of nuclear melt down. Heads shaped like the last handful of watermelons at footscray market. Well done to them. My prediction for the final... Fuck france. Bunch of nancy boys and African immigrants. Croatians fuck women, eat cabbage and control their borders, thats a winning formula for me. So thats my world cup wrap. Cheers guys.

  15. Was hard to tell any stand outs besides Rami. The defender Portelli looked comfortable and Ahmed played well. The whole team were a level above the murray players IMO, just interms of technical skills. Murray wernt dirty, both sides were giving niggle and going in hard. Didnt see that in the yleague. Think it will be good for the long term development of young players. No idea, but playing in the NPL has young players up against men who seem to like to try to take our players down a notch, which is understandable since they play for an Aleague club. I think having them exposed to this sort of treatment at a young age and still having them play a certain style is going to benefit them in the long run IMO. Rather than just the Yleague which is what it used to be, where it was no where near as physical.

  16. Should introduce a rule that if a player needs/receives treatment of any kind during the match then they must spend 2 minutes on the sidelines. So frustrating watching players feign injury to run the clock down.
