Popular Post Caddy
With all the juvenile sack threads infecting the board I thought it would be a good idea for a positive feedback thread on our JA. Him standing up to thug Burns gold, and probably helped inspire the team. Leaving Tadic halfway up the ground at the free kick was bold and it turned out to be a winning tactical move, resulting directly in the goal. The passion showed by all the team on the bench when Golgol goaled was evident, and as we know the manager is the one who inspires the team and inspires a love for the team. He is young by coaching standards, and has made a few mistakes, will probably make a few more, but overall has been showing tactical nous and the team is improving. Remember, most of the other coaches are around 40-50 compared with JA's 35, that's many years extra experience. He's blooded youth players when needed, showed faith in them, and they've repaid the faith with great performances. Garuccio was looking great before being hacked, Mitchinson and J Walker are looking like brilliant future full backs, and he was bold enough to show faith in Mebrahtu, do an interview praising him, and what does Mebrahtu do in his very first game? I think the best is yet to come from JA and as manager of my football team I will continue to support him.

belaguttman
I agree, a coach has to lead by example, let's see we show some spine against another physical team, CCM.

schrecky
At the start of the season, i was sing JA's praises after listening to him at some of the coach the coach sessions. A few weeks ago i was starting to change my mind (especially after the sydney game) and lose faith in the bloke. When you sit back and reflect, the last 2 weeks we have been severly undermanned and come away with a draw and a win. We have only lost 1 of our last 5 games. You cant really have a go at the man with these results , with bugger all manpower I dont know if its JA or the Foxman, or just pure luck. Anyhow im back on the JA bandwagon. I like how he is not following the crowd trying to play the textbook play out from the back etc etc. You have to play to the capabilities of the team and i think he is doing that. Peter
Agree with ando re: the amount of pinned threads. Clutters things up. Understand the fixtures and the history of MH in photo's (great pic's by the way KSK), but apart from that, let things move.

kontra.11
Or we could do what should have been done a long time ago and have ONE thread simply titled 'John Aloisi'
Jimmy
Should be subbing himself on around the 80th minute every week instead of D-Mac tbh.

Herman Cain
Well he's certainly got the team scoring more consistently than JVS ever did.. and winning at home. And we're currently higher than JVS ever had us finish.

Sash
Losing games "sack Aloisi".. Winning games "Aloisi = Legend".. Natural cycle of things. Yep. Apart from the WSW performance, we've been playing better recently. So I think Aloisi deserves some credit. While other clubs have been sacking coaches this season, our club has stuck to it's guns and seem to be committed to giving JA the time and support he needs to develop as a coach. And while it's been frustrating at times, I'm starting to think that he's going to repay that faith. I've been a critic, but to his credit, he's remained measured and positive throughout, he seems to have retained the support of the playing group, he's had to deal with a lot of disruption to the squad, and I think he's adapted and improved on the things which led to some really poor performances. If we lose this weekend, then I might change my mind. But for now, I'm starting to feel more confident in JA. belaguttman
I think that in the long run sticking with JA will be seen to be a very astute move by the club management. Without the threat for relegation with its need for immediate results we have time to allow a good manager to develop.
jw1739
Stability is very important. Irrespective of where we finish this season JA and JD have the opportunity to reshape the squad as necessary for what we're aiming for next season and thereafter. You don't get that when you have managers going in and out of the revolving door. I was one for some sort of change earlier but I concede that I was wrong. natalie182
We'll probably all be calling for JA to be sacked if we play our usual crappy away style against Newcastle and lose. That's just the way we are.
