  1. Back to the away jerseys being made available while down in melbourne over the last few days on a business trip the nice people at the f1 sports store on Elizabeth st basically said to don't hold you breath on the away jersey. It's not coming out....no release date, nothing
  2. Get mulvey now! Are only chance to get a manager who is a winner !
  3. His just not good enough, JVS has not done anything to solve a big issue with the club.
  4. Just not good enough, made to look like a state league team. The backline was a shambles and I'm sorry but andrew redmayne you are not good enough for this level.
  5. It's times like this we need to bring back a champion of the people, Josip Tadic if you are reading this come back home... I'm being serious would love to see Josip back...not doing much in Austria at the moment
  6. Johnno, I don't see the original post or the subsequent comment and discussion as whinging at all, not do I see it, as some others do, as re-opening the discussions on badge, name, colours etc. If you're on the forum every day you follow the various minutiae of the club's activities - "Have we signed Archibald?", "When's the next pre-season match?", "WTF is wrong with Germano this time?" and so on and so forth. When you're not reading the forum every day, and come back after an absence, it's rather different and IMO you tend to look at the bigger picture. I interpreted Sydneyheart's OP as an introspective question along the lines of "Now that the various changes have taken place, how do I feel emotionally about Melbourne City and are my feelings the same as they were for Melbourne Heart?" The question resonated with me, because when I went overseas in August I had limited access to the internet and therefore did not follow the forum for three weeks. When I returned I found myself asking the same questions about my attachment to Melbourne City. Attachment to a football club for most people is not determined by the stadium the club plays in, the training facilities, success or otherwise on the field, or by anything that is logical or rational. It is determined by an unexplainable connection in the brain. People all around the world continue to support small clubs that exist in the very shadow of the big glossy stadiums of the premier clubs. As has been suggested, the proof of the Melbourne City pudding will be in the eating. The next couple of seasons will determine whether City can incorporate and build on what was Melbourne Heart or have changed just a little too much too soon. Lets face it, it's been a hard sell when you are told one thing but things are starting to shift back to the mini man city idea that they said would never happen. I'm still in two minds about renewing my and my daughters membership due to the fact that the team I fell in love with is not really there as I know it. I pose a question, if heart won the title last season would man city have changed the clubs identity as much as it has already?
  7. Sorry niko have not been on for a while..
  8. Is it just me who is taking longer than normal to adjust to the city tag over heart? I have not been on the forum for a while but I'm still feeling a bit of a disconnect to the whole rebranding If anything it feels like the red and white is being killed off slowly by the day with sky blue being brought in more and more over time, I mean look at the training gear in the last few days, not to mention the website. I feel the away strips will be used very rearly and that within a season or two the red and white will be gone and lost forever. Anyone else feeling like this?
  9. I think the best thing for now is to enjoy the rest of the season. It's with a lump in my throat that I think we will be completely re-branded by nest season and look and feel like nothing of the club we all fell in love with. I hope I'm wrong but I honestly think we will be melbourne city next year playing in sky blue.
  10. If glory don't pick up kenny for next season I would love him at the heart. Bit of passion and fire in the belly.
  11. Time to realise that redmayne needs to be dropped giving a tando a shot. Gerhart and d mac should be released never to play for heart again. Wy was Kewell taken off?
  12. Krunoslav Jurčić would be a bold choice. Looking for a job and would fit in the a-league well. Budget wise would be on the money
  13. Mark rudan would be an excellent choice as an assistant
  14. 1030 presser called...confirmed by fox sports
