What do people think of this design? think LR9's design but with a Melburnians logo down the bottom and predominately red. Sorry for the dodgey crop job and the 2D design will be longer with more white and blue stripe chunk things with bigger red gaps.4 points

We've been using this one at FC bendigo games with good results. Original idea was to use it as a longer chant, but as there's only a few of us and most the guys are young it's hard to keep it going and has turned more into a goal celebration chant or for corners and chants after close shots. It's become popular and often hear little kids doing it. Uh lelelele Uh lelelele Uh lelelele MEL-BON-CIT-EH repeat https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h50g7BAuYt83 points

The participation by supporters on this forum has been fantastic and this is what I love about the club. The logo designs that have been proposed are brilliant. How about we now stop all this precious crap about who, what, when and where decisions should be made. I am not active but am very happy for the guys who have done the hard yards to get the group up and running and will be doing most of the work from here on (ie "the core") to decide how we move forward. Even though I believe in democracy a vote or no vote will not worry me. Nothing is set in stone. Let's just get on with ensuring that the supporters are able to put on as good a performance on match day as we hope the players will. Thank you Yarraside and thank you Melburnians.3 points

rofl aren't you the same bloke that kept whinging because the old core didn't wear enough MH merch.Sounds like you have some deep seeded issues with authority.. I'm not sure who the old core were. Yes, I hate authority. It really gets on my nerves. I hate that people make rules and we need to follow them. It would be far better if we just lived. mate, i'm probably the biggest advocate of individual freedom you'll find, but the reality is that every organisation needs some form of leadership to function properly. I think the fundamental problem of all the "anti-core" (creating this term for people who oppose a core leadership group, whether it's in regard to yarraside or this new group) people is a gross underestimation of the work involved in running an active supporter group. There is a lot more to it then rocking up on match day. I'm not saying it's a full time job, but it definitely requires a significant amount of time.3 points

Yea, I noticed that yesterday! I thought it looked a bit like the old club badge in reverse...3 points

Germano should be our starting RB. That for me, is a massive improvement already from last season. Like a new signing.2 points

The numbers in sky blue are a terrible choice. You won't be able to make them out on tv or even from a distance at games. Should of been black.2 points

Surprised membership didn't go down due to the fact shes the biggest nobody in the universe. Never seen someone ride the curtails of their sisters success so much. I demand the club come out publicly and distance itself from any acts or comments made by either Dannii or Kylie Minogue!2 points

Melbourne city's active support you're either a bitter Heart supporter who is mad about the takeover, a bored victory fan or neither. Please confirm2 points

Yes, I hate authority. It really gets on my nerves. I hate that people make rules and we need to follow them. It would be far better if we just lived. Apologies. It was actually every single person in the terrace that didn't wear what you wanted them to wear. For someone that wants to just 'live' you certainly seem to enjoy telling people what they can and can't do2 points

Hate it. What are home kits? The home kit is supposed to be synonymous with your club. People on the streets see the kit and instantly recognize who it belongs to, what it stands for, the history the club has made. What do I see when I see our kit? A Manchester City hand-me-down. Failed attempt to make us a mini man city. Nothing. Shit kit, wont ever buy. Might buy the away kit.2 points

SO Brazil didn't commit their "tactical fouls" at the halfway line ( due to the world finally waking up to the tactic) and look what happens their defence get torn apart Suddenly it's 3 on 3 or 3 on 2 and they concede only one thing could have been better than this,,,,' if it had happened in the final1 point

Don't see how we could get Lampard unless he is our International Marquee. There is only one guest spot and we've (presumeably) used it for Villa. As for a loan spell, we'd have to find a way to fit him under the cap, which would take some creative accounting. In my opinion, the marquee spot must be for a no 10. I could handle a marquee striker, but I would prefer a no 10. As for the last VISA spot, it depends on whether or not we get Kennedy. If we do it might be worth looking into a foreign full back instead, since I am sort of concerned about our defensive stocks.1 point

Munn also said yesterday: And he revealed today that JVS spent a week scouting in Spain. I reckon recruitment is very good, and the positions targeted, if we can secure players in all of them, will tick off the final areas that the team needed to strengthen in. IMO the number 10 or playmaker position is the most important final signing (with the striker just missing out and being 2nd most important IMO). I'd say Engelaar pretty much ended up filling in that role last season, and having class in that position really increased the quality of the team by a few levels. I'm wondering though what is the ideal type of number 10 or playmaker for our team? Are there any players past or present that very well exemplify what our number 10/playmaker should be like? Lampard would be an incredible signing, and even if we just have him for 10~ games I'd be pretty pleased, because I reckon he's a pretty ideal number 10, who can create goals for others and can occasionally score them himself (and in Lampard's case, more than occasionally). Any suggestions? I'm not going to make an actual suggestion - simply because as a humble TV viewer the players I am most familiar with are the older ones- I'd like someone between say 25-29 who could give us a few seasons. What I expect of a #10, is a skillful player who has good awareness, and yeah can score and set up goals. Needs to have a good attitude and not be a rat bag prima donna. Good enough to get a run in the weaker teams of the top leagues around the world. Now a player like that would be very difficult to convince to come "down under" for our brief season, but the Man City connection does give us hope where previously we probably had none.1 point

Yeah I think that's a realistic target. I mean over the 4 years that Heart's been around, I'm sure we've had close to 10,000 members, it's just as new people sign up others drop off because of the lack of results and lack of attractive football to watch. Now that everyone is likely to jump back on board, the numbers will rise. And then you chuck on top of that all of the bandwagoners and 'eurosnobs' as you guys call them, and I would expect us to reach 10,000 easily. I'm hoping we perform well enough in the first 10 or so games so that when Villa and potentially Lampard leave, the eurosnobs will decide to stick around because they've enjoyed what they saw from the club as a whole.1 point

Turf is a smart bloke. I'm sure if he'd put some thought into it, he could have come up with a few more useful questions. I agree 100% that Mark Allen is an absolute featherweight and his knowledge on any sport besides golf (yes, even AFL) for a drive-time sports show host is laughable. Turf is by far the best thing on that station and a fucken funny bastard FWIW.1 point

That presconference showed the change in our club. In the level of professionalism and taking it seriously. I was very hard on the club. This sort of stuff (not the sponsor the way it was presented) should have been done from day one. I kept saying Melbourne didn't suffer fools and wanted winners. You know, it's the little things. That was fantastic viewing. The club is now doing what I always craved. Being the best. It's an amazing feeling.1 point

http://www.vallettafc.net/news/adrian-zahra-joins-valletta-fc Last season's Maltese Premier League champions (and regular winners of the Maltese Premier League). Wish him all the best. Maybe it'll turn out to be a pretty good move, as he's now in Europe (even though he's in one of Europe's fringe leagues). It's still tragic to think how that injury must have set his career back (moving to Perth wasn't a smart move for a youth player as well, even though he signed up when Edwards was the coach). There's a special circle in hell just for Kevin Muscat.1 point

I likey like! I wouldn't mind seeing us do this epic call and response chant as demonstrated by Napoli supporters, would only work with a noisy terrace right after a goal though:1 point
