AFAIK the A-League has three clear examples: Ange at BR, Gombau at AU, and Popa at WSW. With all three you could clearly see what they were trying to do within 6 to 8 weeks. No they did not have all the players but a core nucleus was forming that proved pivotal to their success. So the game plan was evident early on, the nucleus was coalescing and the gaps begun to be filled within the mid season transfer period. For the life of me, I cannot see any evidence of any plan or any other clue as to what he is building towards.4 points

Can you see evidence of a clear philosophy and any signs of progression? I can't4 points

Ironic that the players that were considered "winners" like Cahill, Brandan and Kilkenny have been shipped out. I think Wazza would prefer a team of Yes Men who toe the line compared to those who will push the boundaries to get the 3 points.4 points

I couldn't give a shit if he parties like Gazza, as long as it doesn't affect his performance......which surely cant be as bad as some that Muscat and Delbridge have produced.3 points

That's what I thought he was doing. But all I can see after the dumping of Brandan and Kilkenny is a demolition contractor.2 points

Absolutely. It also dovetails with my thinking that some players are better off in finding a coach/club that suits them rather than the perceived advantage. Right now I think that Kamau and Arzani would be better off working under Gombau rather than Wazza.2 points

Ahum, let's bring back a club that had to sell off players and hence compromise any chance of being competitive. Ahum. Not my words by the way.1 point

He's just the sort of player we should be developing, play him next to Jakobson or Bart, he's wasted a year of his development when he could be a very good player for us1 point

I wonder why Jerry Springer is not the speaker of the house, it's really the only thing parliament is missing.1 point

What a shocking and unexpected development from the paragon of democracy that is China.1 point

They are comparing it to our previous all time high (which one would assume was a 2 home derby season) therefore our figures aren't distorted in that perspective. They will be distorted ,however, by the fact that the remainder of our season games are non derbies that will all reduce our average as it is unlikely they will be above season to date average. I suspect they average attendance this season will normalise down to a similar level as to that of the comparative in the table.1 point
-
The numbers for City and Victory are distorted by the number of home derbies played in any particular season - either 1 or 2. This season we have 2 home derbies, and our "average" for the season is therefore elevated over last season.1 point

100% disagree. Has had a few poor games lately but to overreact and say that he's been shit all season is completely wrong. He does need a bit of a kick up the bum but their are bigger culprits in our team leading to our poor performances1 point

By season's end we are going to be worried playing the Victoian under 15s.1 point

Exactly. He also seems quite happy to weaken the team to get rid of personalities thst might need a bit of effort. But we aren’t Man U. Superstars aren’t lining up to come and play under the salary cap. A good A League coach is one that can get the most out of the squad he has and manages the personalities. As someone ( @jw1739 I believe) it’s ridiculous situation that we seem to be unable to play when 1 player (who, effective though he is, is really just a work horse) is out injured.1 point

Not sure about that. He was going nowhere here. A bloke who needed a change and it worked for him.1 point

If the players don't buy into the coach's vision, the team is doomed1 point

I wouldn't want to be the player who wins the player of the year award this season, it seems to be the kiss of death. The last 2 winners were Sorenson and Kilkenny1 point

Hmmm... Kilkenny would have been handy in that role, wouldn't he? Cahill would have been a handier sub than Delbridge Brandan would have been handy on the wing. Tongyik would be a better player with some game time, arguably better than Delbridge Carusca would be a better number 10 than no real number 101 point

Sick of the same old broken record against these guys. By far the most impotent victory team I've seen so let's gift them two goals. Fuk me Bart... Oh, game highlight: Mrs Rass winning an Xbox at half time. Rest of it was fukd.1 point

Yes. He consistently chooses the wrong option of late and costs us scoring opportunity. Both he a Vidosic seem to have blinkers on and because of this Bud's runs are ignored and costing us goals. The amount of times we were choosing the wrong option in the front third was ridiculous. Even his goal was the wrong option with 2 of our players free in the box. Games are won by playing the percentages and because Azani receives the ball so often he must do better. Arzani and Vidosic cost at least 3 clear goal opportunities. That's my rationale.1 point

Come on guys, he at least deserves 2-3 seasons of mediocrity until we can judge him fairly like jvs.0 points
