I was up at 0600 this morning to watch Montreal play Chicago.

A couple of good goals and a ref changing his decision, which I haven't seen in all my time playing and watching football, made it well worthwhile.

The ref's decision made me laugh. I used to get upset with the A-League ref's making odd or plainly wrong decisions but I have got used to it watching the football in Aus and the MLS. I guess the game is developing in our countries at a fast pace and not everything is keeping up.

If this is true (not wholly sure of the veracity of the report), then the MLS would be on some seriously solid footing. Basically a team in Queens, New York, with the bloke who owns Manchester City offfering to put up $100 million for the license fee. Serious numbers being thrown around.

I'm happy to see the league has come so far it can demand a 100 million franchise fee, but I hope it doesn't go through if its going to slow down Orlando City's bid (which it very well could). There some good news coming out of Orlando though as the state senate passed the bill and the state house is likely to pass the bill for a new stadium if we get the team.

Don't know why the league is so obsessed with NY2 when there's already a NY team that doesn't get crowds with Henry and Orlando just got 9.5k to a 3rd Div match

Didn't want to make a new thread as its pointless but I've been watching a fair bit of the CONCACAF Gold Cup this week. USA should win it. Mexico have really dropped off in the last 2 years.

Wondowlowski goes alright. Surprised he has never played for a club outside of the states. CONCACAF should have 2.5 WC spots instead of 3.5 tbh, USA will do well in Brazil next year. Strong squad.

Live tomorrow at 12 noon will be the derby between Portland and Seattle on espn.

No uni tomorrow,

Fucking in

Just about the two best supported clubs in the league too, should be good!

It's gonna be a huge game. Best rivalry in MLS which sold out weeks ago (67k) + Dempsey's first home game.

Did that tackle by Kah on Eddie Johnson vaguely remind anyone of a certain tackle on Zahra?

I suppose a little bit, no front flip though. Eddie's reaction to getting kneed in the head was pretty funny though :D

Just the way he flew in with two feet after missing the ball by a metre, just seemed a little reminiscent!

Hahaha, that was such a dog act  :P

Well, Impact's season finished with a bit of a bang last weekend. Sorry to see Marco Di Vaio go that way after such a good season.

A poor reflection on the club, but the end of last season was all downhill. The coach may speak French but he has been sent off a number of times for ill discipline and this has rubbed off on the players. He should go.

A good statement has been put out by the club.

Also Alessandro Nesta looks to have played his last competitive match.

One of the games greats.
