LR9
Dear god! What a horrid idea. They will honestly be lucky to get 20 SUPPORTERS down there. The club milks shit way to much, and often. I call on all Victorians and particularly the people of Melbourne’s North Why, because we don't have Jobs? Kent!
Ando
Plastic fantastic. Any sort of exposure is good exposure, make it a decent media event given Victory just got fucked on by Smeltz.

jw1739
Confess I'm fairly negative on this sort of thing. Bit like the noise that was made when we were second on the ladder half way though the season. Finishing half way down the ladder and getting a State send-off? Better to wait until we get to a Grand Final or actually win something before we go for this type of PR.
Cammo
If it gets us on the sport news in the main stations in the week that AFL is starting, I think it can only be a good thing.

Tesla
Seems like a way of giving it to the visitors tbh. Who is this MP, heart fan? Needs re-electing. Personally, I dont see any reason to attend, but I'm sure it will actually have a fairly decent turnout.
downbylaw
Scrapping into a finals system where near everyone makes it is by no reason worthy of accepting a fucking state send off. I just hope there is only print media coverage. Players and staff will outnumber those in attendance. Things they do baffle me, so if thats stupid so be it. downbylaw
Seems like a way of giving it to the visitors tbh. There's to much of this giving it to em crap when they actually have trophies. Munn needs to also shut up and concentrate totally on us and not them. Why waste mind space and breathe on them. Lets actually win some shit first for starters. We finish sixth and it's one big circle jerk down at h.q, hurry up and finish season pleeease!

LR9
What should happen is we rock up to a training session or rock up to the Airport on Saturday.
Dynamo_Melb_Warrior
What should happen is we rock up to a training session or rock up to the Airport on Saturday. An airport send off would be immense. Would almost fly over from Tassie, stay at the airport, send them off, then go back to Tassie the same day just for this to occur. Get a couple of hundred, get the chants going, massive send off. Players would be pumped, and would make up the cringeworthyness of this Parliament thingy. jw1739
Any publicity is good Not at all. You have to pick the right target audience and the right time. The right time would be when we've actually won something. Some of the PR coming out of Heart HQ is truly pathetic. For example, from the Heart website: 'Unbeaten in six matches, Heart will enter the playoffs in a rich vein of form....' Who writes this stuff, and who do they think they are kidding? 'Rich vein of form' when you've drawn your past four matches and thrown away a home final in the process? Yes, yes, I know I'm venting my spleen and my disappointment at the season's performance. But I really do find this sort of PR crap as insulting the intelligence of both Heart fans and the general public.
