Can't see Tippet and Buddy fitting into the same forward line, would nearly rather Jesse White having seen the season he's put together.

True,

The SCG does not provide a lot of space for one marking foward - let alone two.

When Duck played there it was always as a FF rather than a CHF.

This is such bullshit. They'll probably get heath Shaw too the bastards

Good - That means Geelong will remain a Shawfree club.

Why would you not want heath shaw? Guys a bit of a headcase, but he's one of the best half-backs in the league. The older heads at Geelong would help him settle down a bit IMO

A lot of Geelong older heads are retiring which means its the worst time for this guy (who will be respected for his playing ability) to walk into the club.

Also Enright, Taylor, Longergan, Rivers and Guthrie are all certain starters down back next season so the remaining spot should be used on the next stage of blooding our youth we started a while back.

Well the papers keep saying they are keen on Shaw - So like last year's trade period I think they will have a dabble on older players...

The thing is nobody as Geelong expected us to be a real challenger this season until we started the season so well.

It’s pretty obvious after the end of 2012 the club expected to be able delve deeper into blooding kids.

IMO the club had to change its programs for a Flag Tilt Mid season and this hurt a few players along the way.

When Scotty came to the club he said he would have a go at 2011 (Most thought this was impossible at the time) and prepare for a big go in  2015... So despite a Dawks flags things are still rolling along as planned.

One thing for sure is that the club know they didn’t win three flags but topping up they won them by bringing up a large group of good younger players together.

I presumed Pyke would be the number one if Mumford left and I wouldn't think Tippett would be happy about being usurped as number one forward already and being a pinch hitter role. Interesting off season ahead.

I would have thought Tippett would be perfect as a Ruck/FF so he does not get his mind too weighed down by performing well in one position.

Not sure how Sydney will fit buddy in even with their 9% step ladder.

Jude Bolton, Matner and Morton all retired this season. And by the looks of things Jesse White will move.

Fwiw, Sydney's salary cap isn't 9% larger than the rest of the teams in the league.

Its actually 9.8% larger

They have the allowance yes but it is split per player so it's not like Buddy is being paid wholly through this allowance or because of it.

But you just said that Sydneys cap isn't 9% larger??

Either way, without the allowance they wouldn't be able to afford Buddy and its an unfair playing field with the other teams....especially for teams based in Perth which is known for being just as expensive as Sydney.

Well Chappy is gone and a lot of PPL are very upset.

Personally I am going to show faith in the club and our medico team as we have not really made any major mistakes in letting players go for a long time.

And if we want to use talent kids to create another period of success then we need to do some kind of rebuild.

Just a hard pill to swallow when you think about the last game he played for the club.
