Not sure whether we'll see a 4-4-2 with Tadic & Babalj up front or a 4-3-3 with Tadic out wide. Think we need to play the 4-3-3 to congest the middle of the park so they can't play the ball through Flores and Celeski, but Tadic as a winger doesn't fill me with confidence.

Giving the ball away too easily. I do wonder about our approach of playing a high line pressing against the team with the two fastest wingers in the league, after playing such a defensive line against wsw last week.

Other comments - strebe really thinks there is only one team in melbourne that fouls.

I had forgotten just how crap etihad is for football

Garcia has just owned traore tonight and if he is Australia's next left back then Garcia has to be starting every week.

Gol gol just has to take all our free kicks.

Can't fault the effort out there tonight, everyone put in a good shift. Unfortunately they took the opportunities when they were presented with them.

Didn't think Strebre did us any favours tonight either, penalty was 50/50 and Williams yellow for a dive was a free kick every day of the week, plus a few other decisions that seemed to go Victories way at crucial times when we had the ascendency.

Not sure if Mitchinson will make the grade, really struggled for pace. Could see him as more of a central defender if he can bulk up a bit. Hopefully he gets a full season in the VPL to work on the physical side of his game.

Williams being carded for diving was total shite. Should have been a free kick.

Nah he dived, shame his friggen first touch was off because he was through on goal there. Typical him, flashes of brilliance and then lack of skill at crucial moments just holds him back from being a gem of a player.

This team is capable of a lot more than what its coming up with, shame, but as mentioned brilliant experience for some of our players.

This is a good point. Each time he's played it's his lack of pace that's let him down. Pace in the LB and RB positions is important for the way we play which may hold him back for a long term future with us. Perhaps that's why JA went with Hoff last week. We clearly have a number of positions to strengthen in midfield and defence.
