  1. Just for the sake of a formal reply, you can go and read the thousands of posts in multiple threads to get a history on it, you might note the thousands of dollars raised by Heart fans for the #KeepThe RedAnd White campaign, however if all you've done is watch FoxSports you wouldn't have noticed anything as Heart was not a Sydney team and more particularly not WSW so its fans and what they believe just aren't on the Sydney-centric media agenda. The greater problem as WSW fans will one day discover is that the HAL operates franchises not clubs and we are customers not members. Ultimately what we think is irrelevant despite the lip service. Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I don't watch/ have Foxtel. Yes, the Sydney media hasn't reported on any campaigns, and forgive my laziness for not trawling through your forum to find the relevant info. The offseason is literally the offseason for me to. Zero football news, either online or through traditional media.
  2. I have a question. Why was there not an uprising or more concerted effort to keep the name Heart? Or at least to keep it integral with marketing? Possibly a branding campaign of 'City is the Heart of the City' or similar. I do hope you guys have plans to hold on to your history. Yes, you may be Melbourne City right now, however you will never not be Melbourne Heart. And a disclaimer....I'm a Western Sydney supporter. However, I support all our clubs when required, especially when it comes to protecting your identity.
  3. Guys, have been to hungover and knackered to post earlier. We did a road trip down and was well worth it. You guys I thought played sensationally. You are forgetting something as well. WSW were playing to cement 2nd spot and a week off, (which is desperately needed with ACL commitments). Not saying Heart lacked commitment but WSW definitely had to get something out of that game as the reward was great. The late substitutions should have pointed to that as well. Popa went for the kill. None the less, besides all the negativity surrounding your club at the moment, sincerely, good luck with the red and white campaign. I actually hope you don't change your name as well, but hey, Heart can always be the nickname. Just don't lose your colours. Chin up and see you all next season.
  4. Haven't heard or read anything else on the net contrary to my statement. Although I don't frequent TCA or whatever it's latest incarnation is.
  5. ^^^^And there in lies the danger of a points penalty. AMOK was in Adelaide with the rest of us.....so who knows. What's stopping a bunch of HCS who are just fucktards and got themselves beat up by another group of testosterone fueled adolescents simply blaming their biggest local rival for a shit stir. I don't know what happened, but the authorities need to be 100% certain before we cop any unjust penalty.
  6. Due to a lack of interest unfortunately this forum has been postponed until a later date.
  7. For those interested..... Active support forum to be held 23rd September, 8.00pm at the Celtic Club. 316-320, Queen Street, Melbourne.
  8. Be interested to know how many smurf supporters made the trip to the 'Gong for the match. Sutho shire (massive area of FC supporters) butts up to the IIlawarra. Also, with a large Italian community in Wollongong, they would've turned up for ADP (even though he pulled out of the game).
  9. Boffins, lets not be cryptic. I know some of you guys aren't keen, all good. But what are you alluding to?
  10. Capo is determined by each city. The Newey capo happened to do the duties in Sydney. We are flying by the seat of our pants atm as we quickly wanted to get things together for the last 2 qualifiers. Now we have a bit more time. This is really up to each city how they want the local 'branch' to evolve. It would be great to have some of you guys drive it. Put your slant on it. If we don't try, we'll end up with another GG Army, albeit without the tour operations. Some of us who've been involved from day 1 are no schmucks when it comes to active support (and the hurdles we face). I would hope though, that there is enough people in the whole city of Melbourne (or the entire bloody state of Victoria) who are experienced enough in a/s and willing to help this grow.
  11. 23rd September, 7.00pm...forum to discuss active support for our National Teams. Venue to be confirmed. FFA rep and Asian Cup organising committee member will be in attendance. This is a great opportunity to have a say in forming Terrace Australis. We need passionate active supporters to look after the Melbourne branch. Make no mistake, Terrace Australis can act as a conduit for active support across the entire A League and beyond. Hopefully we can assist in opening eyes at FFA level regarding the issues we face every day. Things we implement will trickle down through A League and state league level. Hope to see as many of you there as possible.
  12. So I'll get to see the famous GSE......... Green Seat Elite.
  13. Looking forward to this fellas.......
  14. But only 700 turned up to watch the Jets play a Canberra allstars team. I remember watching a W-League game with a crowd of over 1,000 so surely the potential is there. Point being, Che says people "fucking froth football like nothing else" so you'd assume you would get more than 700 to an HAL team versus Canberra Allstars. These are the type of matches that FFA look at to gauge potential for a HAL bid. Really, quite disappointing from Canberrans.
  15. Apparently official crowd figure was 1900. Was poor the following week though when the Jets played the Canberra Allstars and only 700 rocked up. Don't know if the crowd difference was WSW supporters or the fact an Allstars team don't have their own supporters.
  16. For a drunk bloke, you make complete sense.
  17. good to see you remembered that we are.
  18. But only 700 turned up to watch the Jets play a Canberra allstars team.
  19. Howdy fellas. Yep, still around. Glad the season isn't far away. So, a serious question. Has the signing of Harry increased the interest among your mates who aren't members in becoming members? Oh, and Che, to be fair, it was freezing in Canberra. Had to stay warm some way....
  20. We are talking about proper active support, not passive support. It will be standing only, sing for 90+, restricted view from flags and banners. The rest of the stadium can follow the lead if they like, however the active bays will be 100% active, 100% of the time. People 'sitting' in the area will be made aware, and if they wish, will be moved to other seats.
  21. fwiw, Melbourne lads (both sides of the fence) have been signing up.
