    MOTM vs WSW

Craig Noone has a very solid game
  2. Scoreline flattered them, a 1-1 draw seemed more fitting. Also worth noting they only had 7k at the game.
  3. Any word why O'Neill didn't make the match day squad?
  4. Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but booing Lachie Wales on Saturday night felt very cathartic
  5. This is the same club that celebrates and lords a known domestic abuser, how can we be that surprised that their fans think this is okay?
  6. I'll be going to the Melbourne City Members Forum tonight with PK, Brad Rowse and Jamo, any other forum members heading out?
  7. Probably damage control after the trouncing at the derby. We were getting absolutely destroyed in the midfield. The club announcing this signing pre-quarantine was most likely done to let fans know they see the problem in our w-league squad and they're already on top of it. Men's CB was different, when the rumours surfaced we'd already beaten Brisbane away and Rostyn had a solid performance - there was less of an immediate need to announce it. That being said, this is all me connecting dots that aren't necessarily there, just my read on the situation.
  8. In a COVID affected league, I'm not sure what else could be reasonably expected for our squad. City did what we've been crying out for years - kept the gang together. And for the most part made astute signings to strengthen as best they could given the current climate. Obviously the CB situation isnt ideal, but Windbichler left us on the cusp of the league starting, and the club are clearly just waiting until the quarantine is done before announcing anything - which is the smarter move imo.
  9. Can we put some respect on the great away showing from City fans? Given the current climate, an outrageously good effort by those who made the trip. Hope you’re rewarded with 3 points for the drive home
  10. @jw1739 Worth noting who provided the assist as well?
  11. Big agree. People that are so outraged, ask yourself, when was the last time you went to Bundoora to watch City train or watch an NPL game? I went to every W League home game last season and Hume isn’t close to much (about a 40 minute drive from Southbank), but people didn’t seem too pissed off about that? The club are trying to create an identity - which is something we desperately need. There’s no way to say this is definitely going to work, but the potential pros of the move far outweigh the potential cons. The club couldn’t keep stagnating forever. Done well Brad Rowse!
  12. At the very least, can this out to bed the idea that CFG are planning on giving up on Australian Football. People chuck that line out all the time with no evidence to back it up. CFG are here to stay. I’m for this move, it capitalises on a massively untapped market and shows that the club are looking for sustainable growth, giving away 1000 memberships a year doesn’t do much, we’ve seen that time and time again. However, I don’t want to leave AAMI park, but like every article has highlighted, we aren’t leaving AAMI park
  13. https://www.melbournecityfc.com.au/news/melbourne-city-fc-signs-matildas-defender-jenna-mccormick Jenna Mccormick signs on for the season! Absolutely massive get, wrapped with this! Just a thought, is it just me or we have signed predominantly defenders?
  14. @eric forman that live stream was great. Good interview setting, players were more laid back and it felt much less formal, which sparked more honest conversation.
  15. Brisbane Away (30/1) flights booked. Up the City Boys
  16. Be interesting to see how this years team shapes up. Usually the W League team nails their international signings, but for reasons that dont need to be stated, that may be more complicated this season.
  17. As part of The Reserve Team, we did a Melbourne City FC Season Preview. Check it out if you feel so inclined!
  18. Ritchie De Laet’s side Royal Antwerp beat Tottenham 1-0 in the Europa League this morning! Ritchie played the full 90. Our Striker 💘
  19. Really hoping we'll all be back at AAMI Park sometime soon. Missing the football.
  20. Here's to you Ben Garuccio, Melbourne loves you more than you will know
  21. Fixtures may not be out for another month or so, but we have a start date for the new season - 27th of December, and likely a Melbourne Derby at that Only 73 days until football is back 🥰
