  1. Its a pre season game, I dont see the point of sweating stuff like this. If we're four games into the ALM season and have only scored 1 goal, then its time to ring the alarm bells.
  2. 1 - 0 win to the City Max Caputo with the goal in the 56th minute on the back of Schreiber’s good work according to Melbourne City’s twitter.
  3. Friendly update: 0 - 0 at half time New line up for the City: Beach Politidis Souprayen Damevski Shillington Esposito Peios Schreiber Memeti Caputo Nabbout
  4. Currently playing a behind closed door game against Western United at CFA Casey right now. Starting XI for the City: Young Behich Good Reis Talbot Ugarkovic Sakhi Antonis Leckie Jakolis Maclaren
  5. I'd like to amend this statement. Wish you nothing but misery, Emma
  6. I don’t believe it’s injury related - as far as I’m aware she’s fit now. She’s from Adelaide and so is her partner I believe, so maybe a move home?
  7. ALW captain Emma Checker's contract not being renewed. Granted, it felt as though she was permanently coming back from injury, she seemed like a real leader amongst the playing group. All the best Emma.
  8. People planning to get down to this one? I'm looking forward to it after our game against Oakleigh was such a nice day out.
  9. Just spotted these at Brunswick Savers if anyone fancies them. Both size large.
  10. If you click the confirmed button it links to a post from the Australian Cup twitter account. https://melbournecityfc.com.au/news/20230818-aus-cup-ro16-details City members go free!
  11. Confirmed: Melbourne City v Wellington @ Jack Edwards Reserve, 27th of August 2:00PM
  12. Exactly this. Should be capitalising on this national interest in football to say "Hey, you liked watching the matildas? Well a bunch of socceroos will be playing next week in melbourne - come down and get around it". City especially should be all over this considering Victory are out of the cup (lol) so we have a clean run at them. Every chance it doesn't work because most of the casual fans have next to no interest in proper (domestic) club football, but the club would be silly to not even have a go at converting them to City supporters.
  13. Seeing as its supposed to be next weekend, would be good to get some more details about when and where our loss against the Nix will take place.
  14. Well for starters, I think one of the biggest issues we have so far is the fact that a quite sizeable part of our squad has only been playing together for about three weeks 😂 And while I do think we were very so-so against Oakleigh, I do think these boys need a little bit more time before we throw the baby out with the bathwater. For me I'd like to figure out what our best midfield looks like. Anotnis was very solid against Dandenong (obvious caveat being that it was a friendly with nothing to play for) and he had a decisive impact when he came off the bench at the weekend - so I'd like to see him start again. As well as that I think its time to mix up the centre back pairing - even it means giving Jordan Hall a go in the centre back and switching up the full backs - whether that means bringing Galloway in or hopefully Aziz is up and running by then.
  15. Thats why we exactly why we do need it. I thought it was implied, but what I was inferring is that obviously we're off the mark, going up against another professional club will be a much better gauge on how far off the mark we actually are.
  16. First preference is for it to be in Melbourne, after that I'm not overly bothered. After our two games this past week against NPL teams, it might be nice to go up against an ALM team to get a better gauge of where we're at.
  17. Galloway was definitely at Oakleigh yesterday, saw him hanging about near the bench and taking some photos with supporters. Didn't see Nabbout.
  18. Admittedly a small sample size, but I reckon today could have been Jordan Hall's best outing in a City shirt. Not that he was especially good, just looked more composed and more assured today I thought.
  19. Pair that with his brace against Dandenong, off to a very good start.
  20. Double Headers always. Parking up at Aami Park with a beer and a chicken and chips to watch four hours of football is a dream. Especially seeing as our Women's team play out in Casey now. Been there to watch them play a few times and its horrible from a viewing perspective, and the hour long drive from the city is the biggest reason to just not go - if i was a member based in the west I almost certainly just wouldn't go.
  21. Tickets copped - up the city!
  22. Great to have Stotty back for the next two years!
