In the squad for match day one

I think that negates the point of fan representative group. The logical move is allowing supporters to know which fans represent us at these meetings, so if we have issues we could theoretically bring it to them to put forward. However I wouldn't hold your breath for that one. What I plan on doing is contacting the club and requesting to get the minutes of these meetings made available to all paying members, such as Sydney have done.

Anyone else feeling particularly lethargic for the season ahead?

Also on the Europa League, Bart Schenkaveld's Panathinaikos are sitting top of their group with Villarreal, Rennes, Maccabi Haifa. Man has played every minute of the campaign thus far - good to see him doing well at a level he absolutely deserves to play at!

ACL 23/24 : Zhejiang vs City | Wednesday 4th October | 11PM Kick Off
IssySG replied to Zanty's topic in Melbourne City
Not staying awake for Rado Ball personally, but up the city all the same -
I think this is a bit revisionist. He literally won the Y League, W League and did the A League double. Also worked directly under a bunch of different Melbourne City coaches. He's gone to France and had an absolute mare, but to say there is no evidence he is manager material is wild.

Time for a cultural exchange. We get PK back and ship them Rado.

Todays pub journey took us back to the Posty, couldn't believe how dead it was for a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. Cost of living crisis in full effect.

FWIW, ended up going to the Cherry Tree Hotel in Cremorne, was quite nice. $20 Parmas on a Wednesday was also a pleasant surprise.

Feel like his tenure coincided with peak Joyce-Ball (i.e. playing a full back up front), so probably more reflective of how despondent the fan base felt in general
-
Anyone got any pub recommendations for this Wednesday in Richmond or Cremorne? Bit bored of the regulars i.e. The Corner, Richmond Club Hotel, Hollivia etc

From my experience, no, not really. I went to the imperial for a few away games last season and I'm pretty confident me and my mates were the only City supporters there.

Thought our newest player could use his own thread. Interesting to note that Corinthian fans are all pretty emphatic that he is a horrible player - my favourite comment so far being "Congrats Melbourne City, you now have your new worst player" Be interesting to see how he adapts in this league, looks like he'll be getting a lot more game time then hes been used to of late.
