  1. I wish I'd had it to hand yesterday when trying to make the same point on the Guardian, probably to the same flog. Still he resorted to shouting bullshit so that's a win to me. Ps, I noticed I'd got a few likes overnight, so if that was any of you mob, thank you. Stonking post GS. Makes a lot of sense. That and the fact that the big money had run out. Wazza is the gaffer. Love it or leave.
  2. Having taken three hours to do an hour's commute on Friday morning, buses replacing trains is my pet hate most of the time...
  3. Noticed this very much. But won't get anything like the coverage or comment that the internal disharmony story will.
  4. Could do worse than try to get hold of a guy called Erhun Oztumer, scoring for fun playing for my home town club, Walsall, in English League 1. Genuine attacking, creative 10, rate him very highly, and likely to leave at the end of the season.
  5. Agreed. Almost posted five minutes into the second half to say they looked like they'd had the hair-dryer at half time, such was the change in approach.
  6. Easiest votes for MOTM and Spud I've had all season.
  7. You're not a proper football fan until you've laughed at your own side when they've just scored....
  8. Manny Muscat screamer. Not very often you'd see those words together...
  9. Bizarrely we'll probably end up having got a draw away at Newcastle. Which many of us would have settled for...
  10. I genuinely feel sorry for him. He's walked into an imploding club on the other side of the world.
  11. If we could get our shape right and sort out the internal dissent we could be a reasonable team...
  12. Bouzanis playing to keep the shirt, but several others playing to lose theirs...
  13. Joyce did pick him for the pre season match in Shepparton and to my eyes he played well. But not featured since...
  14. I'm not sure it's Wazza. What's going on behind the scenes could be coming from a number of sources - other people in the management or coaching staff (already one departure there this week), Timmy stirring the pot, players unhappy that they aren't in the team, general concern over poor results... Could be lots of stuff. And yes, Wazza might have kicked a few arses or put noses out of joint because he wants to do things a different way. But isn't that what was needed, given the sense of complacency we felt had grown during the previous regime? I suspect were going to have quite a bit more turmoil yet before it all settles down.
  15. Sure as eggs is eggs there are going to be departures. I guess time will tell who. Certainly not the end of the changes, that's for sure.
  16. I suspect it depends on how far we've got with draining the swamp...
  17. Agree with your impeccable logic MB but it seems that some of the persistent rumours have some legs, and strange things may yet happen. Perhaps the logic is to be able to move a fit Brandan onto another club, fee payable and contract rescinded. Hence keeping him long enough to get him strong and fit and saleable?? And if he's fit he can be sold or moved on without having to pay out his contract, thus freeing up cap space??
  18. And if that's the case we've got to keep our heads through the blood-letting that probably still has to happen, and hope that those now in charge know where the problems are, and what to do about them. Having said that we will miss Brandan if these rumours are true. Worth consoling ourselves that we have the likes of Arzani and Najjarine coming through. And Kisnorbo is highly regarded by club and fans alike.
